Cult comic book ElfQuest - created by Wendy and Richard Pini in 1978 - is experiencing a resurgence of interest thanks to a new fan trailer.
Wendy and Richard joined the trailer's production team and cast on a panel discussion - ElfQuest: From the Woods to the Web - at San Diego Comic-Con.
New media producers/actors Stephanie Thorpe (Gold: Night of the Zombie King) and Paula Rhodes (A Good Knight's Quest) collaborated to create the fan-made, non-profit trailer ElfQuest: A Fan Imagining, which has been gathering support since launching in April at the Screen Actors Guild new media premiere. You can watch the clip below.
Lifelong fans of the comic, Thorpe and Rhodes pooled their skills and resources, along with a cast of 'women of the web' and donations from other devoted fans, to create a live-action exploration of the world of Two Moons.

A new full length trailer has been released for the Stephanie Thorpe and Paula Rhodes' fan-made film Elfquest. They also have also announced that they will be bringing their Elfquest project to Comic-Con this year. The original teaser trailer for the film blew up online, and it will be interesting to see how this project turns out. The fan-film has got some solid production value, and the actual film could end up being pretty cool.

Why is the End of the World so hot right now? After a slew of zombie-related news the last several weeks, yet another Apocalypse-related series has hit the internet. But what's wonderful about this theme is there is room for all genres and styles. Take Hollywood Wasteland, for instance. In the first episode we see Steampunk references, an homage to the Terminator films, a wacky cast of characters including an actress who thinks headshots of her as a chimney-sweep are going to set her career ablaze and a basement dwelling conspiracy-theorist whose favorite phrase is "it all ends...tonight". Based on the premise of the show, he's probably about to be right...
