The Unforgettable Jeremy Beadle

Warning: Spoilers
Many of these The Unforgettable... programmes have been on and I've missed them, such as the ones looking at Hattie Jacques, Sid James, Joan Sims, but I certainly wasn't going to miss this one. Jeremy Beadle was one of the best known TV personality of the 1980's and early 1990's, I remember him best on You've Been Framed. This programme was a celebration of both his TV career, and a look back at his personal life leading to stardom from those that knew him best. So he started as an events organiser, then went on to do radio, and then got his big break on Game for a Laugh alongside Matthew Kelly. Then of course came his biggest success on Beadle's About with his on location pranks involving cars being damaged, houses collapsing and of course aliens coming down to Earth. I did not realise Beadle suffered from Poland's Syndrome, a problem affecting the growth of the hand, and he raised millions for the charity Foundation for Children with Leukaemia. His career went downwards in the mid 1990's and was rarely seen on TV, at one time he was suffering from leukaemia himself, but he died in 2008 from pneumonia. Narrated by Martin Glyn Murray, with contributions from Bonnie Beadle, Cassie Beadle, Sue Beadle, Matthew Kelly and Chris Tarrant. Very good!
