- TriviaDuring the voice recordings, Sam Witwer had reportedly corrected Director Dave Filoni on a script error. In the original script, Anakin was suppose to talk with his deceased mother on meeting his wife, Padme. In the studio, Sam had pointed out the flaw in the script as Anakin's mother had already met Padme prior in The Phantom Menace.
- Quotes
Qui-Gon Jinn: Obi-Wan, have you done as I've asked? have you trained the boy?
[Obi-Wan stands up in shock, igniting his lightsaber]
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Master Qui-Gon? How are you here?
Qui-Gon Jinn: I am here because you are here.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: I- I don't understand. What is this place?
Qui-Gon Jinn: Unlike any other. A conduit through which the entire Force of the universe flows.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Are we in danger?
Qui-Gon Jinn: This planet is both an amplifier and a magnet. three are here that seek Skywalker, they like me believe him to be the Chosen One.
[Obi-Wan turns off his lightsaber]
Obi-Wan Kenobi: You were right. The Force within him is stronger than any known Jedi. I've trained him as well as I've could, but... he's still willful and balance eludes him.
Qui-Gon Jinn: If he is the Chosen One, he will discover it here.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: And if not?
Qui-Gon Jinn: Then you must realize with his power, this is a very dangerous place for him to be.
- ConnectionsReferenced in Star Wars: Rebels: A World Between Worlds (2018)
This episode tells a Force story that the rest of the show hasn't seen since. The following two episodes make up 'The Mortis Trilogy' and this trilogy can even be a substitute for The Prequel Trilogy; if you desire that substitution. This is powerful storytelling in animated television, and this is one of many high-points for The Clone Wars series.
This episode alone compliments the things that make Star Wars great and rich with lore, and it's doesn't need to be one of the saga movies to be just as impacting.
