The Real Story: The Silence of the Lambs (2010)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS was one of the biggest hits of its day and it won a number of Academy Awards. This episode in the series takes a look at how FBI profiling came into play and we also take a look at some of the major cases out there that influenced the film. This includes taking a look at the Ted Bundy and Ed Gein cases as well as the Green River Killer.
If you're a fan of the film then I'm not so sure you're going to love this episode because I think connections between the cases here and the film are rather small. With that said, if you're a fan of how the FBI works to solve cases or the investigation into serial killers then this here is pretty entertaining. I think it's best moments deal with the capture of Ted Bundy as well as the early cases where the FBI were laughed at because no one believed you could profile a killer.
