Great movie for what it was!

I recently watched this movie on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to see the hard work and dedication put into it! For what appears to be a "home video camera" film, the storyline and acting was surprisingly good and kept me interested and wanting to learn more.

I also read that cast disputes broke up the movie before it was finished, but the second half was nicely animated and narrated, and I enjoyed being able to finish the journey and the scriptwriters' vision!

Bottomline: If you're looking for something great as far as movie standards go, this is NOT that kind of movie. That being said, for what the actors and producers had, it appears to be very well done and edited, and being a fellow indie film entrepreneur, I found it to be fascinating and excellent. Job well done!

Worth the watch!

A little bit about myself, I am an indie movie kinda girl, I have watched the absolute worst of worst homemade attempts at making a film, but some of them shine through. Guadalajara is definitely one of the great ones! The comedy between the two made characters interweaving with an epic story leave me in shock and awe. I'm not sure how you can make a comical approach to a kidnapping of a family member, but these guys are spot on, and the editing is very clean. The video quality is obviously "indie" in a sense that it is not professional-seeming, but the sound and video synchronize together near perfectly. I would say that with a better camera and, of course, complete footage, Guadalajara would have seen the light that I would say it deserves. I give it a 9 FOR ITS CATEGORY, indie film, not compared to major blockbusters. Awesome work by some talented actors!

Respectable Indie Film

I don't understand what the need is for people to troll IMDb pages when they haven't actually seen the film (talking about the 1 star reviews given). This film is not 10 material, but I definitely see why it won an indie film award a few years ago. A creative story, it blends in comedy and adventure and leaves the audience wondering where it's going next. I thought the film editing was very nicely done and helped to make it an enjoyable experience. If the film were complete, it would have been absolutely great! I think this is worthy of a high rating seeing as how the actors were invested in their characters and helped develop a great story compared to some indie films I've seen. Great job.
