Tramp On Roller Skates
boblipton30 August 2021
That's pretty much what you get in this very short -- 42 seconds in the copy I saw -- short. A fat man n shabby clothes taking falls, until he proceeds to do a series of twirls for the last ten seconds.

The combination of prat falls and grace is a telling one. I've never seen a live performance of this sort, but I do recall ice tummelers, clowns on ice skates, in the Catskills in the early 1960s. Supreme among them were a pair called Frick and Frack. A pair of Swiss men, they came to the US for the Ice Follies in 1937 and performed for many years. Frick died in 1979; Frack held out until 2008. Or maybe it was the other way around.
