I played this streaming just to have something on while I did something else, but wound up watching it as the approach was interesting and the conclusions were of course scientifically far-fetched, but extremely logical as modern explanations of magical occurrences rather than just saying &quot;well, it&#39;s magic&quot;. I think it was the &quot;Easter Eggs&quot; or &quot;in&quot; joke aspects of it (like the Dean Haglund and Harvey Levin appearances) that drew me in, but toward the end it did become a little draggy. Most of the &quot;man on the street&quot; interviews didn&#39;t add a thing and the bit about the &quot;frequent flyer&quot;/&quot;millions of miles&quot; airline thing was contradictory to its earlier explanations that were more fitting to this narrative. I think the info in my review doesn&#39;t really qualify to the level of &quot;spoilers&quot;, but better safe than sorry.

The Secrets of Christmas Revealed!

If you&#39;ve watched any basic cable conspiracy or paranormal shows, you&#39;re going to love this. It breaks down how Santa does everything he does as if it&#39;s discussing the way the pyramids were built or how the Loch Ness Monster gets around. From a Santa Zoom call with Santas all over the globe to a Mattel designer discussing how the toy company has a secret deal with the North Pole and an appearance by comic book artist Dean Haspiel, this may go on a bit too long, but when it works, it works. If you love Krampus, there&#39;s plenty here about not just how they work together but what great friends they are. Shout out to the Letterboxd reviewer who said, &quot;So this movie is neoliberal propaganda.&quot; Then, they went into how this movie is trying to normalize that by taking over Santa instead of just making him evil. I&#39;m not sure if they&#39;re kidding. I watched this in April. That does not seem to be the time to watch anything cute about Christmas, but that&#39;s the kind of writing I put out there, right?

Absolutely hilarious mockumentary of Christmas &amp; Santa Claus. One of the most clever and zany movies or TV specials I&#39;ve seen in years, and VERY family-friendly! This could be like G-rated....nothing offensive or even borderline-inappropriate for young kids. And adults with a whimsical/smart sense of humor will be laughing along too at the irony of this &quot;pretend&quot; tabloid-investigative journalism piece on Santa Claus. I was like literally either smiling or giggling the entire 2 hours of this show. Again, HIGHLY recommended - the comedy is goofy yet subtle, I could easily watch this again. Merry Christmas!
