The episode 6 (Liberation of Paris) provides misleading information and facts. Colonel Rol-Tanguy was a key figure of the French Communist Party and as the leader of the FFI in the Parisien region his role was to guide and to coordinate the work of all the resistance factions; the episode "deliberately" failed to mention his communist affiliation and described him only as the leader of the FFI under De Gaulle leadership.
The messenger sent to meet General Patton to convince him to advance to Paris was a french communist sent by Rol-Tanguy (the episode mentions the fact but states in parallel that De Gaulle was worried that the liberation of Paris is orchestrated by the communists and therefore the messenger would confirm his concerns!).
FFI include it all the resistance factions with the Francs-Tireurs et Partisans "FTP" (communists) as the most prominent; the episode "intentionally" seperates the communists from the FFI by mentioning that De Gaulle invited the communist resistants and the FFI resistants (under Rol-Tanguy) to join the French army after the liberation of Paris!
Producing a historical documentary requires an accurate statement of facts; Netflix failed in that particulary, the episode was generally mediocre and partially deceptive.
