The BL romance which we deserve
jsartsreview24 July 2023
When you demand on the romantic BL stories the accuracy of a 'real life situation', have you ever thought: is it always logical and 'adult' in real life? And haven't you ever blamed the classical Hollywood stories about the straight couples for 'non-realistic plot'?

What is Never Let Me Go? It's a beautiful and a little painful classical 'prince and his bodyguard' story, but it has very good ideas about self-acceptance and the partner acceptance, despite the deep and co-dependent feelings. It often happens when we're young and in love... especially when this love is pure, deep and real.

I liked Nueng and Palm in general, especially their chemistry and how they looked in quite innocent love scenes. They are teenagers, but not children, and they behave quite adequate, despite all the illogical (but absolutely normal for the film) situations with teen-bodyguard etc. Phuwin and Pond are quite promising actors in my opinion and especially Pond has very interesting emotional spectre onscreen. I liked both moms, Thanya and Mam, and the second couple, a little annoying Ben and quite interesting Chopper showed us rather natural types of late teenagers.

I liked the music, despite I prefer rock and the vusual is absolutely great, I adore the colors.

So, I can say it's a really good romance with the elements of action and drama.

THIS SERIES IS PERFECT DON'T HAVE WHAT TO COMPLAIN
This series was very well produced and extremely good, as sad as it is it is a series that hooks you from start to finish, and not to mention the fact that the actors have evolved a lot, they started very early in the industry and have always given their best ...

If you go to the gmmtv channel you will see the behind the scenes and you will fall in love more and more, there were SEVERAL scenes in which they improvised and it came out perfect, or when it was not in the script and several times they put the scene in the series. .. so in my opinion this series deserves much more recognition than many popular gmmtv series.

Never let it go out of my mind

This is exactly how the romantic story of the son of some influential people and his bodyguard should look like. About a year ago, Kinnporsche was broadcast, which was said to be the ceiling of the BL genre. Since then, however, the producers have worked on other works that are not equal, but even much better than the already mentioned Kinnporsche. Never let me go represents pure love that really ignited from mutual knowledge. The relationship between the boys is not toxic, nor are the personalities of the two main characters. Nueng and Palm complemented each other beautifully throughout and made each other better. The background circumstances that took place between the secondary characters were well thought out and everything fit together beautifully. I suspected bad things about everyone who was in any way close to Nueng, but I'm glad that some of my crazy theories were not confirmed. The supporting couple deserves more screentime in my opinion, because the character of Ben, for example, is still surrounded by questions. However, the curse of the eleventh episode did not come true for NVLMG, as the eleventh was far from the most painful.

Let it go... Let it go... cant hold it back anymore...

P'Jo 's school of cinematography is 'extreme Realism'. Therefore the story went down the drain. I am not exaggerating. Too many typical elements put together into the script, ie; two young boys falling in love, one rich other is poor, one is schooling while other has never been to a school, one knows the ulterior motives of the people around him while other is naïve, one is master while other serves him as a body guard.

I found the episodes draggy as the story proceeded. I really like the color tone, backdrop locations, props like guns and metal carved locket, apt background sounds that are very natural, underlying theme of progressive acceptance towards same gender couples, ost 'Living for you' by Phuwin is refreshing as a cocktail lying on recliner at the beach. After watching a couple of stage performances i believe Phuwin is a good singer. I do not find anything attractive about Pond on contrary. This series gave us a glimpse of Perth- Chimon dynamic, absolutely appreciable. P'Nat is a tremendous actor. Certain parts of the plot looked insensible. Being devoid of intense action sequences and racy scenes it can be deemed perfect to watch for adolescents and even children.
