Extraordinary is really an Extraordinary sitcom. It is made by Disney/Hulu but set in Britain.
The kind of Britain as depicted on Channel 4 or BBC2. Not the pretty postcard Disnified one.
In a world where ordinary people get superpowers when they turn 18 years old. Jen (Máiréad Tyers) has none and she is 25 years old.
The series opens with a job interview where she tells everything to her interviewer. That is the interviewer's superpower, everybody tells her the truth.
Jen's stepsister gains her superpower which annoys Jen even more.
The only bright cloud is a date with nerdy Gordon. He can make someone orgasm from a mere touch. Unfortunately when he is with Jen, he wears a glove.
The premise is not that extraordinary. Jen is basically the odd one out and life is not going great for her. She shares her house with Carrie and Kash who also have superpowers and they are an item.
The first episode had moments of promise but I felt it needed something more.
