This is news to me–Deadline is reporting that Fox has cancelled sketch comedy series, “In The Flow With Affion Crockett” due to it’s low ratings during its summer run. A bigger question is when was this show advertised? I watch television in the summer (well, year-round), and I don’t ever remember seeing a commercial for this show. I know I would have seen it–”American Idol” was on this summer, which meant I’d be watching Fox regularly! How did I not know about this show? Anyway, according to Deadline, the show was produced by Jamie Foxx, and was picked up as a mid-season show. The show was only promoted a few...

Fox has axed its short-lived sketch comedy series In the Flow with Affion Crockett. The network aired six episodes of the show earlier this fall. The series had a rather ridiculous comedy pedigree — producers included In Living Color alum Jamie Foxx, Mad TV co-creators Fax Bahr and Adam Small, Arrested Developmemt creator Mitch Hurwitz and Two and a Half Men’s executive producers Eric and Kim Tannenbaum were all on board. Too many cooks?

It looks like Fox has officially pulled the plug on sketch comedy series In The Flow With Affion Crockett after a low-rated summer run. The project, executive produced by Jamie Foxx, was picked up straight-to-series and originally slated for midseason. It was pushed a couple of times until it finally launched in mid-August, drawing a 1.0-1.2 demo rating for its first season. The move comes a couple of days after Fox closed a deal to bring back its signature 1990s sketch comedy series In Living Color.
