- As Tara walks into her first Abnormal Psychology class, she transitions into her psychiatrist alter Shoshanna and begins lecturing her fellow students, only to be interrupted by the actual professor, Dr. Hattaras, who uses Tara's incident to embarrass her in front of her classmates as well as to vocalize his skepticism about D.I.D. At the same time, high school film students Marshall, Lionel and Noah set out to make a movie that their narrow-minded teacher won't soon forget. Max has his own worries when his biggest lawn-care competitor Larry, offers to buy Max's business which, if Max accepts, would put his best friend Neil out of a job. The timing couldn't be worse, since Neil has just moved in with Charmaine, to help bring their baby into the world. This adds to Kate's desperation to get out of Charmaine's house, and she finds an opportunity to teach English in Japan, an idea that leaves Max & Tara less than thrilled.—Showtime Publicity

Neil is catering to Charmaine's every whim. He asks why their relationship never took off but she deflects the question.
Ted walks Tara to class. When Tara enters the large lecture hall and sees that the professor hasn't arrived yet, she transitions to Shoshana and steps up to the podium. She tells the students that Dr. Hattaras was called away and begins to teach the class.
An angry Max goes to meet with Larry, owner of the Orgalawn company he thinks has been stealing his clients. Larry says he hasn't been poaching Max's customers as much as they've been coming to him because he's larger and can offer the same services at a lower price. Larry offers to buy-out Max and bring him on as a supervisor.
Hattaras returns and tells Shoshana that "one of should take a seat." As she transitions back to Tara and looks out at all the students' faces, she leaves the hall.
In film class, Marshall, Lionel and another gay student are put into a four-person group to work on a short film. Marshall is upset the teacher clearly wanted the only three gay kids on the same team. The teacher walks by and says he's excited for what their group will come up with, "something deeper, more emotional."
Neil comforts Charmaine who is feeling fat, gross and pregnant. This leads to sex, which Kate walks in on (without knocking) and makes a big reaction out of what her "eyes have seen."
Tara tells Max what happened in school. Her plan is to come clean to Hattaras and see what happens. Max is trying to find a way to tell Neil that he's out of a job. Tara rejects that plan immediately and Kate is furious that after putting up with her family's craziness she isn't being allowed to find her own way.
Tara tells Hattaras about having DID and apologizes for not telling him to begin with. He seems understanding and asks for her essay, meaning he's going to give her a second chance.

At the next class Hattaras takes the class right to the subject of DID and publically outs Tara for having the disorder. He then begins to lecture and it is clear he does not believe in DID.
In an attempt to challenge stereotypes, the film Marshall's group is making is a bloody pulp violence movie.
During sex Neil tells Charmaine about losing his job. This begins an argument. Eventually Charmaine tells Neil that the reason their relationship never worked out before was because he was "just a gardener."
After class Tara follows Hattaras across the quad. She feels he was inappropriate and doesn't understand how he can deny the reality of DID. He thinks it's junk psychology and a way for victimized people to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. This results in her transitioning into T who rips a hot dog out Hattaras' mouth and kicks it across the lawn, cursing the whole way.
Kate tells Marshall she sold a car to make money for the flight to Japan. Marshall says he's worried about "getting stuck." Kate is upset that she'll be leaving without the support of her parents.
Neil and Max meet again at the bowling alley. Max cuts him a new check, but Neil is pissed when it seems like Max was looking for an apology. Max responds that he's been carrying him for years, allowing him not to grow up and take responsible for his life. Max tells him: "go (screw) yourself, we're done!"
A drunken T comes home and finds Kate the only one in the house. When T tries to take the keys Kate stops her, saying she doesn't want her to do anything that will get her mother in trouble.
