Olivia Rodrigo’s single “Bad Idea Right?” is turning red flags everywhere green — or at least into an indecipherable shade of gray. Kelly Clarkson is the latest to ignore the warning signs about letting an ex back into her orbit as she performed the record during a recent Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Clarkson performed “Bad Idea Right?” with My Band Y’all and two backing vocalists who built out the layered harmonies across the song. The singer bolstered her performance with a few acrobatic vocal runs, but...

AMC appears to be "all in" when it comes to bringing Anne Rice's work to television. Interview with the Vampire is her best-known work, so it would seem logical that this TV show would be renewed for a third season, even if the second season's ratings aren't as high as hoped. Could Interview with the Vampire be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
A dark fantasy series, the Interview with the Vampire TV show stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Ben Daniels. The story follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Reid), and Claudia (Hayles) in a tale of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Bogosian). [Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Episode 1, “What Can the Damned Really Say to the Damned.”] Interview With the Vampire Season 2 is worlds different from what we saw in New Orleans both figuratively and literally. Our vampire family is far from home in the long-awaited season premiere, which began with a four-year time jump that landed Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Bailey Bass) in war-torn Europe during World War II. Their “four years of grim wayfaring,” as Louis’ guilt-induced hallucination of Lestat (Sam Reid) said, were done in the hopes of finding more of their kind. Romania was the latest leg of their search, and it was in this bleak land that they finally found what they were looking for. Sadly for the desperately lonely duo, meeting the old world vampires didn’t go as well as they had hoped. They met two vampires unlike anything ever seen in the series, and they put...

After an intoxicating and almost flawless first effort, Interview with the Vampire returns with a few new items to start the latest season.
Louis and Claudia, having left New Orleans and Lestat behind, are now traversing around Europe during Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Episode 1 to find others like them.
It's a treacherous journey that sees them travel in silence for many years, frustrated, cold, and subsisting off "bad" blood, but eventually lands them in a place that will undoubtedly shape their vampire lives.
Before we dive into the happenings of the first hour, this is the part where I remind all of you loyal readers that I never read the source material, so I may not know where things might go or specific backstories if they aren't explained on-screen.
As I said before Interview with the Vampire Season 1, reviewing the series without prior knowledge could be a good or bad thing,...

AMC masterfully transposes Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire from unique literary expression to a cinematic episodic television experience. As series creator and executive producer Rolin Jones told an enthusiastic crowd at an advance screening at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan, these are two different art forms, with their own artistic needs and devotees. Changes are necessary for the proper telling, and the contemporary audience at large.
Claudia is five years old in the 1976 book. Her age is the very heart of the story because Anne Rice wrote the novel while mourning the death of her daughter, Michele. Modern sensitivities resist the tortured distinction, and the network provides respectful distance. The series’ acting part is even updated, with Delainey Hayles taking the young vampire role originally portrayed by Bailey Bass. There are several alterations in the adaptation...

By the time Kirsten Dunst appeared in Interview with the Vampire, she had already worked with the likes of Woody Allen and Brian De Palma. But her performance as Claudia in Neil Jordan’s Interview with the Vampire was her true breakout, marking her as one of the most promising newcomers in Hollywood. And between Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, she pretty much had any pre-teen girl’s idea of dreamboat co-stars. Thirty years on, however, Kirsten Dunst doesn’t just see the men as hunks but rather truly giving and protective souls.
Tom Cruise may have already been a superstar and Brad Pitt right on the cusp of being Brad f*ckin’ Pitt, but Kirsten Dunst remembered that they were as down to earth as any vampires could be. “I was very protected on set. I don’t think I even watched the whole movie. I sat there and...

When it comes to the gothic and horror supernatural genre, vampires have consistently been explored in both shows and movies. Over the years, there have been multiple interpretations ranging from romantic fantasies and action to comedy and supernatural horror. Among many notable entries has been the CW teen drama starring Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Nina Dobrev, which has earned acclaim as one of the best vampire TV shows.

However, the concept of a teen drama revolving around supernatural forces did not seem appealing to Somerhalder, who played the role of Damon Salvatore in the series, when he first received the script. “Guilty, or not guilty?” That is the question on Santiago’s (Ben Daniels) lips in the newest Interview With the Vampire Season 2 teaser. The video references an infamous trial scene near the end Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name, as hinted by Santiago’s judge’s wig. In the new teaser, Santiago, the leading vampire thespian of the Théâtres des Vampires in Paris, recites the “Laws of the Vampire,” one of the most important being that no vampire can kill another. That doesn’t bode well for Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia (Delainey Hayles), who attempted to kill Lestat (Sam Reid) in the Season 1 finale. The vampires of the Parisian coven knew Lestat long before he arrived in New Orleans. As revealed in the first Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer, Lestat is a founding member of their theater. And he’s been presumed dead by Louis and...

Few television series debut to the kind of widespread acclaim Interview with the Vampire Season 1 did.
The first season was a revelation in many ways, from its take on the Anne Rice classic to its incredible casting and breathtaking set pieces. Critics and fans ate everything up and left no crumbs on the plate.
But a successful first effort doesn't guarantee a successful second act, as we've seen many series fail to capitalize on the goodwill and momentum gained during their freshman debut.
There's no rule book you can follow to a tee to avoid falling into a sophomore slump. If there were, then no series would ever regress, right?
One reason series take that step backward instead of forward is by getting away from what worked and leaving viewers feeling like they're not watching the same show anymore.
A lot of times, a series gets a wider berth after achieving success,...

I knew I was going to shed a tear or two at Olivia Rodrigo's "Guts" Tour. I'm just a girl, after all. On April 6, the three-time Grammy winner performed her second of four sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. And for an hour and a half on Saturday night, Rodrigo reminded us of the good, bad, and ugly of girlhood.
A bag adorned with ribbon bows slung over my shoulder, I screamed in anticipation with a crowd full of sequin miniskirts, glittery purple eyeshadow, and fishnet tights as Rodrigo ascended onto the stage for her opening number, "Bad Idea Right." To my surprise, the audience wasn't just young teens, kids, and their parents. An unexpected handful of 20- and 30-something adults like me were just as ready to jump and sing along to a mix of tunes from her sophomore album, "Guts," and her critically acclaimed debut album,...

Every love story is a fairytale, right? Love has been the central point of the earliest literature, and it still hasn’t changed much. Adapted from Erin Doom’s novel, the 2024 Italian romance drama film The Tearsmith is the story of two kids growing up in a claustrophobic orphanage, only to break the shackles when they’re older.

How Does Nica End Up In The Orphanage?
Nica is an 8-year-old girl who grew up listening to fairy tales. She loses her parents in a car accident, leaving little Nica all alone. Nica is sent to Sunny Creek Orphanage, where she meets Margaret. Margaret is in charge of the orphanage, and she has set three rules for the kids that they must adhere to: “order, respect, and obedience.” No kid can have their personal belongings in the orphanage, and Rigel snatches her pendant, Nica’s last memento of her mother.

Interview with the Vampire Season 2: Cast, plot, premiere date, and everything else there is to know
The timeless love story at the heart of AMC’s Interview with the Vampire won many fans in 2022, but with increased delays for the second season, a lot has changed during the extended hiatus.
It’s rare for a vampire drama to offer more than it borrows from the genre, but the show managed to break through armed with many of Anne Rice’s unique storylines from the novel series.
At the time of its launch, AMC was losing The Walking Dead as the long-running zombie drama signed off after 11 seasons, so new franchises were in demand by the cabler.
Interview with the Vampire broke through with critical acclaim. The show garnered plenty of praise and solid ratings, resulting in a very early renewal for Season 2.
Now that new episodes are approaching, we must review everything we know about the upcoming season.
Get all the details below.
When will Interview with the Vampire Season 2 premiere?...

This article contains spoilers from Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles novels.
The latest Interview with the Vampire season 2 trailers feature Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, tyrannically dictating the story of his undeath to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). The ancient vampire won’t lighten the historical weight buried in cryptic footnotes covered in blood. The contemporary talks are set in Prague, but recent clips extend grand theatrical overtures.
Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire season 2 will open with a new Parisian location, and fresh blood. AMC’s playbill says the part of Claudia has been recast with Delainey Hayles. Roxane Duran joins as the dollmaker Madeleine, a tragic figure with worse pains to suffer. The latest trailer also features a new, albeit secondary, antagonist, Santiago (Ben Daniels). The prime antagonist is, of course, a series protagonist, the vampire other vampires love to hate but remains the...

AMC Networks has released the official trailer for Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire Season 2, which will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on May 12, 2024. The series stars Jacob Anderson, along with Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Ben Daniels.
The interview continues in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire Season 2. In 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) recounts his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Bogosian).
Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen fledgling Claudia (Hayles) conspired to kill the Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Reid), Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, with Claudia.

If you’ve been theorizing that Armand has a hand in the suppression of Louis’ painful memories in AMC‘s Interview With the Vampire, the newest trailer for Season 2 adds more fuel for that fire. Louis’ memories come flooding back in the new Interview With the Vampire Season 2 trailer, released during The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale on Sunday, March 31, and they’re a doozy. We see Claudia (Delainey Hayles) scream, “It’s never been about me!” from the Théâtres des Vampires stage, her face bruised and bloodied, Louis attacking Lestat (Sam Reid) in a fit of rage, and more painful moments as Jacob Anderson‘s troubled vampire tells Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) they need to “get every detail right” in their Dubai interview. It’s a gut-wrenching experience for him as “all those years” start “coming back.” Claudia is initiated into the Parisian vampire coven, which Armand...

“I love movies, I love telling stories,” Rodrigo said. “I really want to do a coming-of-age thing maybe before I’m actually of age. Maybe I am of age already.” She added, “I just love telling stories, whether that be in a song or movie, that...

Olivia Rodrigo hasn’t completely abandoned her acting career for music.
The “Vampire” singer tells me she’d love to star in a film. “I love movies, I love telling stories,” Rodrigo said at the Academy’s Governors Awards on Tuesday night in Hollywood. “I really want to do a coming-of-age thing maybe before I’m actually of age. Maybe I am of age already.”
Rodrigo turns 21 on Feb. 20.
“I just love telling stories, whether that be in a song or movie, that’s really something that really excites me,” she said.
Rodrigo’s acting credits includes TV’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” “Bizaardvark” and an episode of “New Girl.”
She attended the Governors Awards in support of “Can’t Catch Me Now,” her single from “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” soundtrack. The song has been shortlisted for the Oscars.

Based on a series of novel by Jon F Merz, the titular undead Fixer comes to life in the first Lawson teaser trailer.
The age of vampires isn’t over yet, at least if you ask filmmakers. The big wigs at Marvel are (hopefully) working hard on a Blade adaptation which hasn’t been smooth sailing exactly, but there’s another eagerly anticipated, bloodsucking adaptation heading our way.
Lawson, based on Jon F Merz’s series of books, has just unveiled its first teaser trailer. According to the YouTube description, the film follows “a covert operative for a race of living vampires, as he battles a sinister conspiracy to resurrect an ancient god and an old enemy who resurfaces from his shadowy past in this supernatural espionage film”.
Take a look at the Lawson trailer below.
Interestingly, the production has cast Brandon S Stumpf as Lawson. If he looks familiar to you,...

Andy Cohen doesn’t want any drama with Ryan Seacrest this New Year’s Eve.
The Bravo personality is once again hosting CNN’s special from Times Square alongside Anderson Cooper.
At the top of each hour, the hosts are taking shots of alcohol to toast the new year; two years ago, Cohen and Cooper got noticeably tipsy, especially Cohen, who dissed Seacrest on the air as the latter was hosting ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
“If you look behind me, you’ll see Ryan Seacrest’s group of losers performing,” Cohen said on the December 2021 special. “I’m sorry, but if you’re watching ABC, you’re watching nothing.” Cohen later apologized on his SiriuxXM radio show.
But then last year, Seacrest claimed on Live With Kelly and Ryan that Cohen “did not turn around and wave” at Seacrest when the latter waved at...
