Although Joan Vassos is doing phenomenally well with her own show The Golden Bachelorette, the reality TV star had to dump certain lies on her family before venturing on this journey. According to Vassos, she had to tell a few lies to her family about the process—mainly about kissing men on television and about the fantasy suites.

However, eventually, after The Golden Bachelorette premiered on ABC and things went well, Joan Vassos revealed that her family was relieved. Surprisingly, on the other hand, her potential soulmate from the show, Jack Lencioni suffered similar obstacles and concerns from his ex-wife and daughter. But unlike Vassos, Lencioni’s family was concerned about him making a fool out of himself.

Golden Bachelorette contestant, Jack Lencioni has already proven he is a true character. Entering the mansion in a salmon blazer serenading Joan Vassos with “My Way” wasn’t on many people’s bingo cards. Then, he made a big impression on the guys when he burst in wondering where the bourbon was. However, Jack revealed he went on the show to find love against his family’s wishes.
Joan Vassos Finds Jack Lencioni Intriguing
Undeniably, Golden Bachelorette, Joan Vassos was flattered to be serenaded by Jack Lencioni. Although she chose Keith Gordon as the recipient of her “First Impression Rose,” she admits she could have literally given out ten first roses. But Jack was memorable to many Bachelor Nation fans. Not only did he sing Frank Sinatra to kick off his mansion entrance, but he also tried to show that he was a man’s man by making his introduction...

The Golden Bachelorette fans were introduced to Joan Vassos‘ new suitors on Wednesday, September 18. After seeing them, they think one in particular is a better fit for The Golden Bachelor star, Susan Noles.
Susan Noles Might Get Lucky
When The Golden Bachelorette‘s twenty-four new men rolled up to the mansion, fans saw a wide range of fabulous men attempting to win over Joan Vassos. Undeniably, several of the suitors made an impression. Joan gently greeted each man as they exited the limo, car, or horse they arrived with. Although all the guys seem like great picks, there are a few that were sent home on the first night. Likewise, some people notice a few characteristics in the friendly banter that might not be the best fit for Joan. However, Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts have made it clear they are completely happy to take Joan’s sloppy seconds. Furthermore,...

Joan Vassos prepared on Wednesday night for her second shot at true love.
The first-ever Golden Bachelorette dubbed herself “the luckiest person in the world” on this show’s September 18 premiere, as she accepted the lead role three years after her husband passed away from pancreatic cancer.
Among the most memorable suitors… Chock brought some chicken noodle soup; Kim arrived in his Navy uniform; and Jack serenaded his possible future wife with a version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”

“This is a crazy journey, but people find love in lots of different ways,” Joan said to her group of contestants inside of the mansion. “Like, I don’t know if I’m being naïve, but I think it could really work, so I can’t wait to get this journey started.”

Paul Anka performed “My Way,” his signature song made famous in 1969 by Frank Sinatra, onstage at a post-premiere dinner for Paul Anka: His Way, a documentary about the Canadian singer-songwriting legend that had its world bow at the Toronto Film Festival.
The celebratory dinner at Union Station in Toronto had Anka, 83, recounting a career over decades and genres. He recalled at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami being told by Sinatra at a dinner that he was about to quit show business.
“I’ve had enough,” Anka said he was told, but not before Sinatra added he needed to complete one last album. With his young wife Mia Farrow at his side, the legendary singer added, “You never wrote me that song.”
Now under pressure, Anka returned to New York City and, seated at his piano after midnight, penned that famous ballad for a performer whose end was near and facing the final curtain.

This can be written with great confidence: You know a Paul Anka song. Right now, you’re either thinking, “Well, yes, of course I do,” or you’re thinking, “I do not.” If you are in the latter group, you are wrong. There are, of course, his big hits like “Put Your Head on My Shoulder.” But then there are the songs he’s written for others, most notably “My Way,” which he wrote for Frank Sinatra and has been covered by Elvis, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Sid Vicious, and countless others. It’s in the conversation for one of the most famous songs ever written.
That’s kind of the remarkable think about Paul Anka — who is at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, returning to his Canadian roots for the premiere of John Maggio’s documentary “Paul Anka: His Way” — that he’s written so many famous songs for others.

It is sometimes amazing to see what directors who have made a successful movie can get away with. One hit, and studios are willing to hand these people a fortune for their dream projects. Heaven’s Gate comes to mind as one archetypal example, but there are many other misfires from award-winning filmmakers. A few years ago director Michael Gracey scored a surprise smash with an original musical, The Greatest Showman. And now he has a new musical film about British pop star Robbie Williams — with a CGI monkey in the leading role.
That’s right, a monkey. This fact was kept under wraps before the first Telluride screening of Better Man. But I guess now the ape is out of the bag. Good luck to Paramount, who will release the movie in December.
In the past there have been classic movies with monkeys as central characters — King Kong, of course,...

Last year, K-pop giant Hybe and Geffen Records announced the six members selected to be part of their first global girl group Katseye.
Billed as an international group, with final members hailing from America, the Philippines, South Korea and Switzerland, the group was created using K-pop artist development methodologies through the audition program The Debut: Dream Academy.
Now, nine months after it was announced that Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae were selected for the global group, Katseye has released their first EP Sis (Soft Is Strong) and is the focus of new Netflix docuseries Popstar Academy: Katseye.
It’s been a whirlwind few months for the members of Katseye, who range in age from 16 to 22. The group released their first single in June, fittingly titled “Debut,” a powerful and youthful pop track, before releasing their second single “Touch,” a catchy yet chill pop song, in July.
“Our debut was absolutely amazing.

The Paris Olympics closing ceremony was full of surprises Sunday and featured performances by Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, H.E.R and Phoenix.
Phoenix, originally from France but now based in the U.S., kicked off the show with their 2009 hit “Lisztomania,” as athletes danced and sang along to the indie classic. Their set featured surprise appearances from French synthwave artist Kavinsky and Belgian singer Angèle for a rendition of “Nightcall,” known from the Drive soundtrack (the original version featured Css singer Lovefoxxx instead of Angèle).
Rapper VannDa joined in for “Funky Squaredance” and fellow French indie icons Air performed their song “Playground Love” with Phoenix. Another surprise was Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig, who performed “Tonight,” his collaborative track with the band. The set ended on a sweet note with frontman Thomas Mars jumping off the stage to mingle with the Olympians in the crowd.

The Paris Olympics concluded the 2024 Games out with a show-stopping closing ceremony, led by Hollywood stuntman Tom Cruise as French representatives handed off the Olympics flag to reps of the Summer Games’ 2028 home: Los Angeles. In true Hollywood fashion, the event became a star-studded affair, with appearances from Cruise, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and more.
Sunday’s closing ceremony saw Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo pass the Olympic flag to L.A. Mayor Karen Bass ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics coming Stateside for the first time since the Atlanta Games in 1996. H.E.R performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” following the flag pass.

It wasn’t that hard to believe, but last week’s report that Tom Cruise would be performing a stunt to close out this year’s Olympic Games was confirmed today when the thrill-seeker and cinematic legend rappelled into Stad de France to retrieve the Olympic Flag. The sequence began with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, accompanied by Team USA gold medalist Simone Biles, accepting the flag in a hand off from the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo.
Following Bass’ receiving of the flag, H.E.R. performed a jazzy, rock and roll-inspired version of the Star-Spangled Banner. As she continued to play, the broadcast cut to a shot of Cruise at the top of Stad de France, then followed as he rappelled down into the stadium amongst the crowd. Portuguese auteur Miguel Gomes deepens his brand of unclassifiable, globetrotting cinema with Grand Tour, a period drama that’s not really a period drama at all, or is it?
Set in Southeast Asia circa 1918, and following the trajectories of a British civil servant and his fiancée as they trace similar paths across the continent, the film hops between present-day documentary footage and historical recreations, with voiceovers in several local languages and a plot that slowly nudges along. Fans of Gomes’ breakthrough 2012 feature, Tabu, will find much to love here as well, and in terms of craft his latest offers some truly beguiling moments. But anyone looking for a good story, or characters to get hooked on, may find themselves admiring the scenery without ever relishing it.
Despite a simple pitch, Grand Tour is, at least aesthetically speaking, anything but simple, jumping between epochs, genres, color and black-and-white without warning. Gomes...

Our times are troubled, our burdens heavy, our passage through life often arduous and the bad kind of absurd. But for anyone feeling a pessimism creeping in like slow poison and taking the edge off any appetite for adventure, Portuguese singularity Miguel Gomes comes like a comet across the Cannes competition with “Grand Tour,” an enchanting, enlivening, era-spanning, continent-crossing travelogue that runs the very serious risk of infecting you with the antidote: a potent dose of wanderlust for life. “Abandon yourself to the world,” says one character, a Japanese monk prone to walking about with a wicker basket on his head, “and see how generous it is to you.” Abandon yourself to “Grand Tour” and reap similar, joyful rewards.

It’s finally here. After many reports about production issues, screenings and 40 years worth of waiting, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
The anticipated epic is being met with a lot of mixed reactions (and confusion) from the reviewers, some lauding the audacity of the movie and others questioning its existence.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s chief film critic David Rooney offers: “It’s windy and overstuffed, frequently baffling and way too talky, quoting Hamlet and The Tempest, Marcus Aurelius and Petrarch, ruminating on time, consciousness and power to a degree that becomes ponderous. But it’s also often amusing, playful, visually dazzling and illuminated by a touching hope for humanity.”
Over the last couple of months, multiple reports about Megalopolis — including from THR — have shed light on the project that Coppola has been discussing for decades. He poured a stunning $120 million of his own money...

Francis Ford Coppola’s long-gestating and much-discussed sci-fi epic Megalopolis had its world premiere on Thursday night at the Cannes Film Festival, and was greeted with a 10-minute standing ovation inside the Grand Lumiere Theatre, as he gave a hug to each of his his principal stars — among them Nathalie Emmanuel, Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza and Giancarlo Esposito — and threw his hat into the cheering crowd.
Coppola, who lost his wife Eleanor last month, eventually interrupted the applause to take a microphone and introduce the members of his family who were with him, including his son, Roman Coppola, and sister, Talia Shire, both of whom worked on the film. Despite being 81 years old, legendary Hollywood director and Oscar winner Martin Scorsese is not ready to retire. After his most recent film, Killers of the Flower Moon, was nominated for numerous awards, the acclaimed filmmaker is seemingly eyeing a new project and while it has yet to be greenlit, Scorsese has seemingly begun to put together a star-filled cast. The movie in question is a biopic about legendary singer and actor Frank Sinatra, and knowing Scorsese’s background in music, this biopic promises to be amazing.
Frank Sinatra is a legendary figure in American pop culture. He is first and foremost known as a musician, a talented singer with evergreen hits like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “New York, New York,” and “My Way,” but he was also a very talented and popular actor. Milestones have a way of delivering the best.
It's most likely because of the nostalgia. While Station 19 Season 7 Episode 5 didn't go out of its way to give us this distinctly huge installment that marked its 100th episode run, it still succeeded at delivering a full circle hour that celebrated many of the characters.
And by the end of the hour, you found yourself lamenting this cancellation again and longing for some success with the #SaveStation19 campaign.
If S.W.A.T. can continue to cheat death and have reverse cancellations, why can't one of our favorite "wee-woo" shows?
While there's no question that there have been some rocky moments throughout Station 19 Season 7 thus far, "My Way" was a reminder that the series still is capable of having exciting installments with many stories left to tell.
Andy Herrera is at the show's center, so it felt fitting that a milestone installment would celebrate a significant event for her.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Station 19 Season 7 Episode 5 “My Way.”] The Station 19 family, for the most part, stands together in the ABC drama’s 100th episode, an hour that fittingly shows the dangers and realities of their jobs—and the cruelest parts, emphasized with the budget cuts coming. As Station 19‘s milestone episode begins, work is a somber place—Maya (Danielle Savre) tries to act like normal and show off baby photos, but no one’s having it—and tensions are high. Vic (Barrett Doss) doesn’t even look at Maya’s phone. Ben (Jason George) and Travis (Jay Harden) are sniping at each other over the former’s back. Vic finds out Crisis One is being shut down due to the budget issues. ...

As upset as we may be that Station 19 is being forcibly ended by ABC, we can’t say that new showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige aren’t sending the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff out with a spectacular bang. Take Thursday’s harrowing episode, for example. In “My Way,” a fire at the Space Needle nearly — but thankfully only nearly — did in Ben and Sullivan, who then wasted no time proposing to Ross. (Once he promised never to make her “play or feel small,” she said yes.)

"The cops may be able to trace us." "So what." Well Go USA has debuted another new official trailer for a Hong Kong action thriller film called I Did It May Way. That title seems to be an obvious reference to Frank Sinatra's classic song "My Way", though it isn't heard in the trailer or mentioned anywhere else, but it seems to connect with the bad guy's plot anyway. The film revolves around an undercover officer who goes up against the high-tech drug underworld of Hong Kong. Ho Sau, an undercover agent, has been working with Yau, a drug lord, for years, but his job and family are in trouble. The intense action thriller stars Andy Lau, Gordon Lam, Cya Liu, Eddie Peng, Kent Cheng, Philip Keung, with a special guest appearance by Simon Yam. This is an extraordinary violent trailer for what looks like an insanely violent Hk film - my goodness.

In front of a star-studded crowd that included wife Jessica Biel, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Lenny Kravitz and Cher, Timberlake also performed a mashup of “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day,” then took to the piano for an acoustic rendition of “Until the End of Time” that he dedicated “to all the lovers out there.” Toward the end of the night,...

U2 kicked off their “U2:uv Achtung Baby” residency at Las Vegas’ Msg Sphere on Friday night. The sphere, which cost $2.3 billion to construct, features a wraparound interior LED screen, 170,000 ultra-directional speakers that utilize beamforming technology to deliver targeted audio to every seat in the venue, and a haptic flooring system, among many other high-tech features.
Bono and co. made full use of these features as they ran through a 22-song set that included material from their 1991 studio album, Achtung Baby, as well as their new song “Atomic City” and classics like “Vertigo,” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” With or Without You,” and “Beautiful Day.”
Oftentimes, the 35-story building’s floor-to-ceiling screens would project Es Devlin and Brian Eno-inspired artwork, while fans were treated to a crystal clear street view of Sin City during their new Vegas-inspired song. At one point, moving visuals came down from the ceiling to suspend over the audience,...
