Snoop Dogg had an ambitious plan for his new music video - the rapper reportedly wanted to hire out the entire country of Liechtenstein as a stage set. The hip-hop star approached officials in the tiny European country - which covers just 61.7 square miles and boasts a population of only 35,000 - and asked to film his new promo there.
But the deal reportedly fell through as officials didn't have "enough time" to work through the details, according to Britain's Daily Mirror. Liechtenstein property agent Karl Schwaerzler tells the publication, "We've had requests for palaces and villages but never one to hire the whole country before. It would have been possible. (But Snoop Dogg's management) did not give us enough time".
Snoop Dogg has dropped his latest studio album "Malice N Wonderland" in December 2009.

Dressed like Cheech and Chong, the rappers get goofy in their ode to evergreens.

Great minds think alike. So, when Snoop Dogg and Kid Cudi — two men who share an affinity for, shall we say, herbal remedies — get together on a track called "That Tree," it's a pretty safe bet neither of them were thinking about conifers. If they were thinking at all.
"Tree," a new cut off the reissue of Snoop's Malice N Wonderland album, isn't about forestry at all. It's a classic stoner jam, a light 'n breezy ode to the sticky green stuff, featuring a hazy, loping beat courtesy of Diplo. The accompanying just-released video is appropriately laconic and bedheaded.
Directed by Erick Peyton, the clip for "That Tree" is basically a four-minute stoner comedy, featuring brightly colored, slightly goofy set pieces like dancing two-dimensional trees,...

Snoop Dogg picks up an ax and Kid Cudi holds a chain saw in a newly-debuted music video for their joint track "That Tree". Snoop is a lumberjack boss, while Cudi is the employee who cuts down some cardboard trees.
"It's kind of hard to explain," Snoop previously told MTV about the concept. "It's like 'Romper Room.' It's kiddish. It's really fun. Me and him like to have fun, so we wanted the video to depict that. It's not a real serious video. There's no champagne room. There's no money being thrown or a bunch of girls. It's just me and him having a good time."
"That Tree" is listed in Snoop Dogg's "More Malice", the re-release of his latest studio installment "Malice N Wonderland".

Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg is hoping to have a duet with web phenomenon Susan Boyle. The 38-year-old American star admits to being a fan of the Scottish songstress since she shot to fame on "Britain's Got Talent" last year.
SuBo, as fans like to call the 49-year-old singer, is dubbed as a "great artist" by the "Malice N Wonderland" hip-hop artist. He says he is already looking forward to a duet with her.
He told U.K.'s The Sun, "We're going to get our minds together and figure out what we're going to sing about. I'm down with that. There isn't much I can't do."
Snoop also thinks he would be "perfect" to judge "American Idol" after Simon Cowell vacates his seat next season, saying, "I think I would be perfect. I understand the dynamics of music and see stars before they are made."...

The making of Snoop Dogg's "That Tree" music video which features Kid Cudi is captured in set-footage. In addition to including commentaries from Cudi and director Erick Peyton, the footage also has the two MCs rapping their verses in front of cypresses made of cardboard. In one scene, Cudi is shown holding a chain saw.

A not-safe-for-work music video in support of Snoop Dogg's latest single "Upside Down" has hit the web. Debuted by Playboy, the clip sees the rapper and her entourage hitting an underground club for a party. There is a scene where the Mc receives a lap dance from a topless woman.
"Upside Down" features Nipsey Hussle and Problem. It is listed among the materials in Snoop's 2009 studio album "Malice N Wonderland" which was followed up with the release of eight-song CD/DVD "More Malice" on March 23.
It means that he is going head to head with Justin Bieber who also dropped his new album "My World 2.0" on the same day. And the rapper doesn't mind it at all, telling MTV UK, "I don't have no problem with that. That's what the industry was made on."

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
The two biggest albums hitting stores today are both sequels to big hits from 2009. Justin Bieber drops his new album My World 2.0 today, which continues the awesome wave he began riding when My World originally dropped. The other big release today is Snoop Dogg's More Malice, a spiritual continuation to his excellent 2009 effort Malice N Wonderland. Not only does More Malice feature eight hot new songs (including a remix of "I Wanna Rock" featuring Jay-z), but there is also a film that goes along with it. "Malice N Wonderland" stars Snoop as Malice, a super-powered character who has to make his way out of Wonderland.

Tuesday (March 23) marks not only the release of Justin Bieber's My World 2.0, but the drop of Snoop Dogg's More Malice, a reissue of an earlier album with a fresh collection of tracks. So, is Snoop stressing about going head-to-head with the platinum-selling 16-year-old?
Not a chance, the rapper told MTV News on Monday night at the red carpet for the premiere of "Malice N Wonderland," the 40-minute movie made in conjunction with the new disc.
"I don't have no problem with that," he said. "That's what the music industry was made on. I actually had a chance to meet the guy. He's kind of cool. So, I don't really have a problem with the teenyboppers or whatnot."

Snoop Dogg is re-releasing his Malice N Wonderland album as a two-part project, a suite of new music and a pre-packaged movie, which, according to the veteran rapper, will help explain the concept behind the collection. Snoop told MTV News last week that More Malice, featuring new collaborations with Jay-z and Kid Cudi, should provide fans with more than enough Snoop.
"I like to be very creative. I like to give people all of Snoop Dogg when I give them an album," he said. "I felt like on the [Malice N Wonderland] record, I didn't give all of Snoop Dogg like I really could have. I had to make the record be about 12 songs and conceptually stick...
