Karanga is a dance and spoken word film exploring the intersectionality of descendants both Maori and Pakeha (European) centred around the late Tiahuia Te Puea Herangi Ramihana Gray (Ngai Tahu, Rangitane, Tainui). The work is choreographed by her daughter Merenia Gray and was performed at Q Theatre in August 2021 in Aotearoa New Zealand. The work is a love letter to Tiahuia and a tribute to all mothers.
