This is another one of those The Bill episodes I didn't much like, even ends with unfortunate consequences. I don't know why it has many high score ratings.
Gary Love who directed it, also directed some other Series 26 episodes:
- Suffer in Silence (didn't watch it much, not too familiar of)
- Who Dares Wins (murder of the selfish alcoholic and widower, two children abandoned and clash between Callum Stone and Max Carter)
- Death Knock (some prostitute who's fallen from window of brothel, clash between Callum and Kirsty Knight)
Anyway, as for this episode, manic depressive woman locks her ex-husband, former DS, out of the house - despite her drug history, she took rap for Alan Wilcock his drugs, he used it against her for custody of their children - surely this is disgraceful, even if it's a storyline in a drama show.
Jo Masters negotiates yet she's not fully on Carly's side as it looks - even patronizing her.
This episode ends in disgrace, somehow mirrors like Neil Manson ordered the unstable yet unarmed paranoid schizophrenic Michael Simms to be shot dead in his psychiatrist's office.
Jo, obviously looking for someone to take the blame for Carly's death, even if it's Max. Damn right!
