- I Have Something to Tell You was made in conjunction with UNICEF and UNFPA and gives girls in Liberia the rare chance to talk about their hopes and dreams. In doing so, the girls impress upon leaders everywhere the value of protecting the rights of girls and women.—Anonymous
- A filmmaker is lucky to be presented with an opportunity to collaborate like I was with I Have Something to Tell You. Producers Louis and Chernor indicated from the outset that we would allow the girls to tell us where to take the video. For a short documentary on the subject of girls rights, it made perfect sense. We did our best to follow up on their many great thoughts and comments in the short time we had to shoot and edit. We tried to do justice to their dreams, the considerable challenges they face in achieving these, and the stories they had to tell about their experiences. When Janice broke down crying while presenting her final thoughts, my eyes welled up too. I continued to shoot because I knew she was making the best case possible for the preservation of girls rights. I hope viewers feel this too.
