With every role, Jason Bateman established and built on his legacy over the last four decades. Be it as a child star in the ubiquitous great American classic, Little House on the Prairie, or his status as a teenage heartthrob in Teen Wolf, or his dramatic achievement in the Emmy-winning Netflix series, Ozark, Bateman’s range, style, and talent has never failed to deliver on screen.
Jason Bateman in Ozark [Credit: Netflix]However, when it comes to his character arcs, the plots only ever showed the actor as a generic everyman around whom the movie’s plot was constructed. His roles, however wacky or eccentric, were always rooted in reality and his functional and socially acceptable lead gave a cushion to his co-stars to explore their quirks without restraint.

This week has seen a lot of news content from Michael J. Fox since People Magazine celebrates their 50th anniversary with a profile on the star after they covered the heartbreaking revelation of his condition back in 1998. Fox is a big face of 80s pop culture thanks to his work in Family Ties, Teen Wolf, The Secret of My Success, and, of course, Back to the Future. According to Variety, Fox recalls when someone coined to him the phrase “80s famous” as he explained to People, “There’s an expression I referred to when they gave me an honorary Academy Award — somebody said to me the day before, they were talking about getting this award and being famous and they said ‘You’re ‘80s famous.’”
Fox expanded on this point of view, “I thought, ‘Wow, that’s cool.’ ‘80s famous. Right, we were different. We were tougher. We didn’t have social media,...

“Game of Thrones” actor Joseph Gatt has sued Los Angeles County, its district attorney and more for falsely claiming he was a pedophile after being arrested and charged with alleged sexual communication with a minor in 2022. The charge was later dropped, and he’s now calling the arrest “utterly baseless” in his lawsuit for $40 million.
Gatt filed the lawsuit Thursday and is suing L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón, Los Angeles County, L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Angela Brunson, LAPD Detective Denos Amarantos and the City of Los Angeles.
The lawsuit is claiming a “shocking and intentional destruction of Joseph Gatt’s acting career and personal reputation by Los Angeles County law enforcement personnel that resulted from a thoroughly botched criminal investigation, entirely lacking any probable cause, led by an obviously conflicted Deputy District Attorney who sought to destroy Gatt based on nothing more than bias and personal animosity.

Michael J. Fox was a heartthrob back in the ’80s and ’90s thanks to his many memorable roles in the Back To The Future series, Teen Wolf, The Hard Way, Life with Mikey, and more. The actor’s memorable performances and down-to-earth personality earned him a huge fan following.
Hence, many hearts across the world were broken when he revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1998. However, the actor had been secretly fighting the progressive degenerative disorder for seven years at that point. Despite his disease, the actor appeared in many hit projects throughout the 2000s and 2010s. He was a regular in the CBS drama series The Good Wife which aired from 2010 to 2016.
However, in 2020, the star announced his retirement from onscreen work. The decision came due to Parkinson’s impacting his ability to memorize and remember lines. Now, four years later, he is willing to return to acting under one sole condition.

Tyler Posey opened up about his tattoos and what they mean to him.
The 32-year-old Teen Wolf star has full sleeves, tattoos on his legs and across his chest and sides.
Back in 2019, Tyler showed off the process of covering up his tattoos for a day on set.
However, during a recent appearance he suggested that they meant less to him in 2024.
Keep reading to find out more…
While attending Epic Cons Chicago, Tyler said that “none of [his tattoos] mean anything anymore.” By the sounds of it, he doesn’t regret them, though. He said that they still “look cool as one piece.”
We rounded up 11 celebrities who have admitted to regretting their tattoos. The list includes a popular musician who admitted that he hates “almost all” of the ink on his body.
If you missed it, Tyler married his wife Phem in October 2023. We pulled together all of the details from their big day.

Everyone’s favorite Marty McFly could never believe the ridiculous amount of fame he achieved. Michael J Fox was best popular among the ’80s kids who loved him in the Back to the Future series. However, before his career took a turn with the time-traveling film trilogy, he starred in a role that would make him believe in his acting ability.
Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future II
Fox’s earliest role in a Canadian sitcom was so terrible that he believed himself to be a bad actor. The Teen Wolf actor proved otherwise and starred in several projects before he officially retired in 2020 owing to his Parkinson’s condition.

Universal TV continues to develop a 'reimagining' of the 1969 Rod Sterling horror/supernatural anthology TV series "Night Gallery", from Jeff Davis ("Teen Wolf") and Universal Cable Productions:
"...the new series will explore the dangers of social media and modern nightmares in the digital age..."
The original "Night Gallery" aired 1969-1973, featuring stories of horror and the macabre, with Rod Serling of "Twilight Zone" fame as both on-air host and major contributor of scripts.
Serling appeared in an art gallery setting and introduced the macabre tales that made up each episode by unveiling paintings that depicted the stories. His intro usually was:
"Good evening, and welcome to a private showing of three paintings, displayed here for the first time.
"Each is a collector's item in its own way—not because of any special artistic quality, but because each captures on a canvas, suspended in time and space, a frozen moment of a nightmare.

In the year of our Lord Cthulhu 2024, it's abundantly clear what the general aims of the Blumhouse production company are: to make a variety of mid- to low-budget genre features that contain any sort of hook which will make a return on their investment. The 21st century's version of old exploitation companies like Empire International Pictures and New World Pictures, Blumhouse occasionally produces a breakout prestige genre film, but more often than not they're making, y'know, "Night Swim."
Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. Jason Blum and company know that horror fans love a balanced diet, happily taking their veggies along with their french fries. One of the most "french fry" movies Blumhouse ever made was 2018's "Truth or Dare," a film in which the most famous high school party game turns deadly once a supernatural element forces the players to either participate or forfeit their lives.

The next five were, of course, all about movies that came out in 1982: Conan the Barbarian, The Thing, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, and Poltergeist, with an examination of the short-lived 3-D boom along the way. Kelsey Asbille got an early start in the performing arts and after several years in the entertainment industry, she remains one of the most promising actresses in Hollywood. The amazing American actress is perhaps best known for her performances in Yellowstone as Monica (2018-present), One Tree Hill as Gigi Silveri (2005-2009), and Pair of Kings as Mikayla Makoola (2010–2013). Stephen Amell’s Arrow is one of the most well-received superhero shows on the CW network that started the whole Arrowverse which included Supergirl, The Flash, etc. The series went on for eight successful seasons and Amell’s Oliver Queen went on a great journey, portraying the character’s shades with great conviction.

The show also had Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey, and Colton Haynes in pivotal roles for 7 years over 8 seasons. The 2018 Blumhouse chiller “Truth or Dare” was a profitable hit for the company, making over $95 million worldwide on a $3.5 million budget. The film — about a demon named Calux that is activated by the titular party game — starred a buzzy cast full of young talent, including “Teen Wolf” lead Tyler Posey, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale, Violett Beane, Landon Liboiron and Sam Lerner, who all bonded offscreen during filming. That camaraderie led to a sequel idea that could have been one of Blumhouse’s most innovative movies.
While talking about his upcoming film “Imaginary,” Jeff Wadlow, who directed “Truth or Dare” and co-wrote it with Michael Reisz, Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, revealed the ambitious plans for a sequel that almost started production during quarantine.

A trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was recently released. Damien Lewis’ book, Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of the Second World War, is the basis for an upcoming film.
It sheds light on the Special Operation Executive, a secret agency established by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
It highlights how this organization used secret operations to take on the Nazis throughout WWII. Though The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an exaggerated release of a story with elements of humor thrown in, the film depicts a pivotal event that changed the course of warfare in modern history.

Jason Reitman is staying mighty busy these days. Less than 24 hours after the release of the latest trailer for "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," four major casting announcements were made for his next project, "SNL 1975." The film will attempt to tell the true story of what went on behind the scenes before the broadcast premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on NBC, highlighting the real-time bedlam with some of the most legendary names in American comedy. Reitman co-wrote the script with his "Ghostbusters" collaborator Gil Kenan and is basing the story on the firsthand accounts of those who were there. Lest we forget, Reitman's father is the legendary Ivan Reitman, so these comedy titans were the friends and colleagues of the family. If anyone can get serious insight, it's Reitman.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s long-awaited return to the small screen has been cut short.
Paramount+ has officially canceled Wolf Pack ten months after its freshman finale.

It triggered a series of supernatural events, and a group of teenagers came together under strange circumstances.
Gellar, best known for her work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, played an arson investigator named Kristin Ramsey.
Despite spending much of the freshman season against the group of werewolves at the show’s core, the now-series finale found fans being let in on a big secret:

Wolf Pack fans will be howling tonight as it’s been announced that Paramount+ has officially canceled the series after just one season.
Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack revolves around “a teenage boy, Everett, and girl, Blake, whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Wounded in the chaos of its attack, the teens are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two others, fraternal twins Harlan and Luna, who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite and blood of a werewolf.” The series was developed by Jeff Davis, best known for creating MTV’s Teen Wolf series.

Paramount has decided to not move forward with a second season of “Wolf Pack,” Variety has confirmed.
Based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series and created by Jeff Davis, the show follows two teens whose lives are changed when a California wildfire awakens a supernatural creature. Season 1 aired in Jan 2023 alongside the “Teen Wolf” movie. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rodrigo Santoro, Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson and Tyler Lawrence Gray starred.
Sources say Paramount hoped the audience behind the series would have grown from Season 1 to Season 2, but due to the dual Hollywood strikes, the likelihood of that happening was cut short since production was stopped. Season 2 would’ve arrived roughly two years after Season 1 debuted.
The series serves as the latest Paramount+ original to be canceled following “Joe Pickett,” which ended after two seasons in October 2023. Along with the rest of last year’s cancellations including “iCarly,...

Paramount+ is letting its wolves go.
The streamer has canceled Wolf Pack after a single season, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. The series, an offshoot of former MTV favorite Teen Wolf and from creator Jeff Davis, wrapped its eight-episode run last March.
Sources say the streamer was keen on doing a second season of the series, but ultimately delays caused by the writers and actors strikes last year would have meant that a sophomore run would not have been ready until 2025. That, sources say, wasn’t going to work for Paramount+ as the platform would have had to spend more to market the show after being off the air for an extended period of time.
Star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who also exec produced the show, told The Hollywood Reporter in March that writing for a potential second season was already underway. “We plan to do one,” she said when asked...
