Yep, it really happened.
On Wednesday’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler reunited with former “Weekend Update” co-anchor Meyers for a fresh installment of their signature SNL bit ‘Really!?!’
VideosSNL: The Best Sketches of Season 40
The SNL vets were inspired to dust off their tag-team rant by Sports Illustrated writer Andy Benoit, who stirred a tempest this week when he tweeted that “women’s sports in general” are “not worth watching.” Benoit has since apologized for his outburst, but that didn’t stop Poehler and Meyers from having a little fun at his expense.

Matt Bomer is bringing old Hollywood to HBO.
The White Collar alum will headline the biopic Monty Clift for HBO Films, our sister site Deadline reports.
The long-gestating project, which started off as an indie film feature much like The Normal Heart, tells the story of legendary actor Montgomery Clift as he finds himself deeply involved with a young Elizabeth Taylor following the filming of A Place In the Sun.
Clift was one of Hollywood’s biggest male stars and was nominated for an Oscar four times. He became addicted to alcohol and drugs after a car accident left his face partially paralyzed.

Leading out of an NCIS rerun — which delivered 10.2 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating — CBS’ Tuesday broadcast of the 37th annual Kennedy Center Honors did 9.2 mil and a 1.2, up 28 and 33 percent versus a year ago (where it aired on a Sunday).
Elsewhere: NBC’s triple-pump of Chicago Fire repeats averaged 3.5 mil and a 0.8, edging out ABC’s own Forever minithon (3.4 mil/0.7).
And… that’s all I got. Now run to the store before they run out of hats and horns.

You win an Emmy or create a critical/ratings smash and you get to rest on your laurels, right?
Not if you’re one of TVLine’s Most Valuable Players of 2014.
As we brainstormed our end-of-year awards galleries (if you missed ‘em, please check out Part 1 and Part 2), certain names kept popping up — and not necessarily in the places you expected to find ‘em. Shonda Rhimes on The Mindy Project? Allison Janney slaying us again (and not for her Emmy-winning turns on Mom or Masters of Sex)? Michiel Huisman making us stop our ad-break fast-forwarding for The Seduction of Gisele Bündchen?...

The year 2014 has been a noteworthy one for World Wrestling Entertainment.
The company lost the Best in the World but gained an Icon. The Shield dominated Evolution, then shattered as Seth Rollins’ greed proved too much for the Hounds of Justice to overcome. The Wyatt Family was part of some truly haunting moments while the Usos rejuvenated the tag division. The Bella Twins took on their greatest roles to date while Stephanie McMahon emerged as the most effective heel on the roster.
WWE pay-per-view and television were home to some tremendous in-ring action and outstanding promo work, most of which can be attributed to the men and women who upped their game in an attempt to earn one of the spots at the top of the company vacated by the part-time stars no longer populating the main event scene. Whether it was Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins headlining...

Alex Rodriguez is currently serving a 162-game suspension from Major League Baseball for violating drug policy, but even though he’s 39 years old, he has every intention of making his way back to Yankee Stadium in 2015, if only to collect his more than $20 million per season salary. But though he’s won two Most Valuable Players as a Yankee and helped them win the 2009 World Series, Rodriguez’s infamy will likely prevent him from ever being considered an all-time Yankee.
Just look at the new animated movie Henry & Me, which tells the story of a cancer-stricken 11-year-old Yankees fan who...

The Movie Pool gets gleeful over the Most Valuable Players DVD!
The Set-up
This documentary follows the real-life drama of the Freddy Awards, given out annually to the best high school musicals in a Eastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey. A selection of the Oprah Winfrey Network Documentary Club.
The Delivery
There are a number of things that annoy me, and if I were to write out a list, somewhere near the top would be both the television show Glee and Oprah Winfrey. If I need to explain why, then I am afraid your soul is all but lost.
When the documentary Most Valuable Players came across my desk for review, it not only had Oprah's name on it, it seemed to have the soul-sucking spirit of Glee infused into it as well. However, never one to back down from a challenge, I decided to view the DVD with an objective mind.

Most of the general movie-going public perceives documentaries as somber, serious cinema that’s ‘gonna’ make you learn somethin’ cause it’s good for you”. More like the steamed broccoli or creamed spinach in the movie meal rather than the dessert. Well, here’s the film to shatter that notion: Most Valuable Players. It’ll put a smile on your face, a spring in your step, and a song in your heart. And yes, you may learn a little something, but the lessons will go down as smoothly as any pastry.
The main focus of the film are three high school drama departments in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania(lovely place and..hey, they make crayons there! Cool!). Turns out that each schools ‘ theatre productions are as competitive as the athletic departments. One reason may be the Freddy Awards which honor high school musical productions and are actually broadcast live...
