We thought what is now known as Caddo Lake (shortened from Vanishings At Caddo Lake) might drop last year but it looks like a 2024 release was planned. Earlier this year, M. Night Shyamalan signed a multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement with Warner Bros., with mysterious thriller Trap up first. Thanks to Warner Bros’ CineEurope show, the first plot details for Shyamalan’s upcoming feature are here.
Deadline reports that “M Night Shyamalan and his daughter Ishana sent a video to talk up their respective projects: her feature directing debut, The Watchers (a ‘gothic fairy tale’) and his Trap (a ‘psychological thriller set at a concert’). The pair said how ‘excited’ they are to have joined the Warner Bros family.”
As a refresher, Shyamalan’s daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan will be making her feature debut with The Watchers for WB/New Line. M. Night Shyamalan will produce.
Shyamalan and Warner Bros.’ Trap is already dated for theatrical release on August 2, 2024.
The filmmaker described Trap to NME earlier this year, “I have a new idea that I’ve started writing.
