Nobody 2 is now reloaded, cocked and shooting under the direction of Timo Tjahjanto, who is stepping in for the first film’s director, Ilya Naishuller. Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell, the mild-manner family man who keeps his past as a government assassin under wraps. Connie Nielsen is also returning as Hutch’s wife, Becca, as well as Christopher Lloyd as Hutch’s father, a retired FBI agent. It was also announced a couple of months ago that Sharon Stone would be playing the main villain of the sequel.
Tjahjanto’s previous credits include May the Devil Take You, The Night Comes for Us, May the Devil Take You Too, The Big 4, and segments of the anthologies The ABCs of Death, V/H/S/2, Portals, and V/H/S/94. With Kimo Stamboel, he also co-directed the films Macabre, Killers, and Headshot. He is now promoting his new release, Netflix’s The Shadow Strays,...

Back in 2021, actor/comedian Bob Odenkirk – who is best known for playing the role of con artist turned lawyer Saul Goodman on the TV series on Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul – made the unexpected move of playing a retired government assassin in the action thriller Nobody. Doing the unexpected worked out, as Nobody was a success, making $57.5 million at the box office on a budget of $16 million. That was enough to get a sequel greenlit – and now that production has started on that sequel, we figured this was a good time to put together a list of Everything We Know About Nobody 2!
Script
Scripted by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad, Nobody saw Odenkirk playing Hutch Mansell, an office worker and family man who proves to be a capable fighter when facing off with a group of drunk criminals on a bus. He’s a bit too capable,...

Talk about getting the band back together! After going toe-to-toe with a legion of gun-toting criminals in 2021’s Nobody, Christopher Lloyd will reload his shotgun to star alongside Bob Odenkirk in the highly anticipated sequel, Nobody 2. The veteran actor known for his show-stopping roles in Robert Zemeckis’s Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Addams Family, and more will join Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, and Sharon Stone for the action-packed spy thriller.
Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto helms Nobody 2 based on a screenplay written by Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, Odenkirk, and Umair Aleem. Nobody surprised the box office by grossing $57.5 million after spending $16 million on production. Fans of Odenkirk’s bullet-riddled thriller have waited patiently for the sequel to take shape, with all-time high hype to see Odenkirk’s Hutch Mansell back on screens.

Nobody 2, the sequel to 2021’s fun and fierce action film, starring Bob Odenkirk as a mild-mannered retired assassin who returns to his former life after a botched home invasion, is getting a significant update with confirmation that Sharon Stone is joining the cast for a villainous role. For Hutch Mansell’s (Bob Odenkirk) sake, I hope Stone isn’t within arms reach of an ice pick.

Exclusive: Ratu Adil has been marked as a tentpole series in the burgeoning Indonesian streaming market, and here’s an exclusive clip ahead of the action series’ release.
The eight-episode crime drama is launching on local streamer Vidio tomorrow (February 29) and stars Dian Sastrowardoyo, fresh off her leading role in Netflix’s global hit Cigarette Girl, with prolific filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto as producer. The series also stars Nino Fernandez and Hana Malasan.
In a time where American streamers like Disney+ and Amazon’s Prime Video have sharply cut back on original content production in Indonesia, an important spotlight has grown on homegrown streamers such as Vidio, and how they can fill the gap.
Ratu Adil tells the story of a housewife named Lasja Seoryo (played by Sastrowardoyo) seeking to protect her family from Jakarta’s ‘9 Dragons’ mafia. The clip sees Lasja engaged in a life-or-death shoot out in a dimly-lit corridor,...

Three of Indonesia’s leading studios – MD Pictures, Falcon and Screenplay Films – explained their plans for taking local content international and how they’re juggling between producing for streamers and theatres, in a session at Apos.
Manoj Punjabi, founder of MD Pictures, said his studio switched to producing 90% for the streamers during the pandemic, working with global players as well as Tencent-owned Chinese streamer WeTV. Tencent acquired a 14.6% stake in MD Pictures during the pandemic, which Punjabi said helped the company reach “a different level with more potential for growth”.
However, Punjabi added that Indonesia is still a market where both studios and audiences support local movies in cinemas. Indonesian films had a record-breaking year in 2022 when cinemas reopened, taking a 60% market share, with hits including MD Pictures’ horror drama Kkn Di Desa Penari, which became Indonesia’s highest-grossing film of all time.

“From the moment I was born I was destined for darkness” states Bi in the opening voiceover to “Furies”. The Furies were the ancient Greek goddesses of vengeance and so makes for an apt title for this feature that is a loose prequel to the 2019 film “Furie”. This time, star Veronica Ngo takes the directors chair and co stars in a bleak tale of revenge that goes in a different direction to it's predecessor. There has been a trend for villain origin stories but it's rare to see one in East Asian cinema, especially given the character it chooses to focus on. Given how Thang Soi made her living in the original, gaining empathy for such a character could prove a challenge.

For the first time in years, NBC faces renewals of its four top-rated dramas: Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise and Law & Order: Svu, whose three-season pickups all are coming to an end. I hear negotiations already are underway, and the goal again is to secure multi-season renewals for all four shows.

Global streaming operation Netflix is forecast to spend $1.9 billion on local content in the Asia-Pacific region this year as group revenue from the region accelerates to 12%, according to a new report. The content investment spending figure represents a 15% hike.
Netflix will grow revenues this year by 12% year-on-year to exceed $4 billion compared with 9% growth in 2022, says a new report published on Monday by Media Partners Asia.
According to the Singapore-based research and analysis firm, Netflix’s revenue growth in 2023 will benefit from: a rebound in the lucrative but saturated Australia market, where Netflix’s performance will be gradually bolstered by advertising growth; robust levels of growth in Japan and South Korea, which generate high per user revenues; and material gains and contributions from India, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.

Netflix is forecasted to grow its revenue in the Asia-Pacific region by 12 percent in 2023, hitting $4 billion, according to a new report from regional research and analysis firm Media Partners Asia. Performance in Asia’s major economies and population centers has become a vital metric for Netflix as subscriber growth and revenue per user has largely plateaued in North America and Western Europe.
The growth rate forecasted by MPA would represent a sizable uptick from Netflix’s 2022 Apac revenue increase of 9 percent. The research firm also projects that Netflix’s local content spending in the region will reach $1.9 billion, representing 47 percent of revenues.
Media Partners Asia’s analysts see three primary factors driving the gains in the East: A rebound in the lucrative but saturated Australia market, where Netflix’s recently launched ad-supported subscription tier will gradually bolster sales; robust levels of growth in the developed East Asian markets of Japan and Korea,...

White Noise is directed by Noah Baumbach, starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig.
White Noise is a respectful adaption of a novel by the irreverent and respected author Don DeLillo, who in a way has spent decades challenging the idea of perceived stability.
Do not be surprised by this dystopia that at times seems surreal, at others uneven, dark and hilarious in its all its farcical glory.
Premise
A toxic cloud covers the placid town. Jack is a university professor who is well contented with his life, until he finds himself in the midst of an apocalyptic scenario, and is forced to confront his ingrained notions of his own existence.
White Noise (2022) Movie Review
Irony and ambition are contained in what would be expected to be an impossible adaptation that nevertheless, manages to convey not only the story in the novel, but also DeLillo’s leitmotiv. And it does so...

The Netflix Original has also entered the Top 10 Country Film list in 53 countries, including Indonesia where it is the number one film. Spanish drama God’s Crooked Lines, directed by Oriol Paulo, is currently the number one global non-English film in its second week of release.

The pre-holiday report on home viewing on both VOD platforms and at Netflix reveals two things: it’s continuing to look a lot like Christmas and a pair of new films from double Oscar best director winners are getting less than top-tier viewing at this point.
Most noticeably, Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s “Bardo,” following prime earlier festival showings and multiple weeks in limited theater play, has not yet showed up on Netflix’s Top Ten. Released last Friday, it is not among the four new other originals from the streamer that do rank this week.
Chances are most people who follow festival- and awards-aimed titles haven’t heard of any of these films for which the public has more interest. Number one is Rory Kennedy’s documentary “The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari.” Seasonal rom-com “I Believe in Christmas” debuts at #3. “The Big 4,” an action title from Indonesia is #5. “Who Killed Santa?...

Following a series of films that are quite brutal or horrific (or both), Timo Tjahjanto decided to change his style a bit, by implementing intense comic elements in his narrative in a distinctly comic-book style, retaining, though, the aforementioned aspects. The result is “The Big 4”, which has now started to stream on Netflix.
The intro scene of the movie sets the tone for what is about to follow, as it starts inside an orphanage whose owners use the kids in order to harvest organs. Enter the titular Big 4, leader Topan, sniper Jenggo, tempered Alpha, the only woman of the group, and youngster Pelor, who save the children there while creating mayhem in their path, killing the bad guys in the most brutal, to the point of funny, ways. A bit later on, it is revealed that the group also has a leader, Petrus, who coordinates their efforts, while retaining a father-children relationship with them.

The Big Four is an action/adventure/comedy movie directed by Timo Tjahjanto starring Abimana Aryasatya, Putri Marino, Arie Kriting, Lutesha and Kristo Immanuel.
An entertaining, action-packed movie that has the virtue of not taking itself too seriously. Two hour and half of over-the-top action and comedic moments.
Premise
A by-the-book female detective teams up with four down-on-their-luck assassins to investigate her father’s murder.
About the Movie
In the first scene a child is left in the care of an orphanage, and we will soon find out that it is in fact an organ farm. What follows is a blood-fest of action, with kicking and punching, shooting and heads being blown off. And just like that, the tone is set in this feature about a team of vigilantes trained by the Big Boss, Petrus (the father), who will combat any and all injustices.

Kaia Gerber showed off her amazing model’s body in a mini dress.
Being Cindy Crawford‘s daughter definitely gives you some amazing genetics and supermodel powers.
The American model and actress stunned in an amazing thigh-skimming dress while posing in a hotel hallway.
Gerber leaned against the wall wearing a tight black dress with modern cutouts on the top.
Of course, she had to show off her incredibly long legs as well, which is exactly what the black ankle-wrap heels helped to do.
She styled her hair in very light waves and didn’t accessorize this look with jewelry or a bag.
