“There’s someone in the house … absolutely trying to kill me, ya’know?”
The Christmas season is upon us! The warm glow of twinkling lights fills the air. Green pine trees decorate our living rooms and every solid surface seems to be decked out with ribbons and garland of deepest crimson. What better time to celebrate Dario Argento’s 1975 holiday giallo film Deep Red. Musician Marcus Daly (David Hemmings) is on his way home when he witnesses a brutal murder in the window of a neighboring apartment. To keep from becoming the next victim, he and quirky reporter Gianna Brezzi (Daria Nicolodi) must team up to solve not only the crime, but the mystery of the missing painting. This rocky partnership will lead them to a deep red lecture hall, a steamy bathroom, and an abandoned house in the canary islands all to track down a mysterious – and musical – killer.

GLAAD today announced the nominees in 30 categories for its 33rd Annual Media Awards.
In a flip-flip of last year’s top leaders, the combined HBO/HBO Max scored the most nominations of any network with 19, followed by Netflix with 17. That’s a lot closer than last year, when Netflix ran away with 26 noms, while HBO was a distant second with nine.
Streaming services saw a total of 63 nominations, with cable receiving 39 and broadcast networks receiving 17. Hulu received seven nominations, while ABC, MSNBC and Peacock all saw four. In the Spanish-language categories, Univision and Telemundo both received two nominations.

Let's be honest; Lifetime has once again risen to the occasion with a jolly holiday film that you'll want to watch over and over again.
And, of course, Under the Christmas Tree just so happens to be their first lesbian-centric Christmas movie, too.
With dynamic leads, charismatic supporting characters, and a romance that made you squeal in delight, Under the Christmas Tree was a damn near perfect film destined to become a classic for the network.
It's certainly on my personal list of favorites that I'll look forward to in the upcoming years.
Lifetime pledged to make the yuletide gay, in addition to all the other diverse movies they've been producing, and it's so refreshing to have various forms of representation that reflect the network's broad audience.
Not only did they deliver a sweet sapphic romance, but they did it effortlessly, the groundbreaking nature of it so understated in the best of ways.
