Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing garnered the attention of many Whedonverse fans with its cast of frequent Joss collaborators, including Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg and Amy Acker. But there are also a few less familiar faces in the cast of the Shakespeare play adaptation, including Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher of New York-based comedy duo BriTANicK. The two first-time entrants to the Whedonverse talked to EW about getting cast, their experience making and promoting the film, and catching Whedon’s attention with their YouTube videos.

I was discussing Austin Film Festival with a friend yesterday and surprised to learn he had never heard of BriTANick, the wildly hilarious duo Brian McElhaney and Nick Kocher. The two have been writing, acting and producing comedic short films online for several years and last year brought Eagles Are Turning People Into Horses (which you can and should watch online) to SXSW. They have begun to appear in TV and feature film roles, including the upcoming Joss Whedon surprise Much Ado About Nothing. They came to Aff this year with the outstanding Searching For Sonny, written and directed by Ft. Worth native Andrew Disney.
Jason Dohring stars as Elliot Knight, an unsuccessful 28-year-old pizza delivery driver. Depressed by his lack of accomplishments, Elliot's neuroses include envy of Jesus Christ for being wildly successful before the age of 30.

Why Watch? This is a brand-new feature on the site, but we may never be able to top this entry. Eagles Are Turning People Into Horses lives up to its single-tear-inducingly brilliant name as the most straight-forward depiction of a conspiracy theory wrapped in a bad break up. It’s hilarious, inventive, it looks great, and it should give you a few ideas for how to get rid of that pesky girlfriend or boyfriend you can’t seem to break it off with. Or does it???? Conspiracy! What Will It Cost? Just fifteen minutes of your time (which may be the best fifteen you spend today). Does it get better any better than that? Only if we broke up with your annoying partner for you while you watch. Check out Eagles Are Turning People Into Horses for yourself: Eagles Are Turning People Into Horses: The Movie (2009) Directed By: Brian McElhaney Written By: Brian McElhaney & Nick Kocher Starring:...

Britanick.com, the site with 2 dudes wasting their degrees, has released a hilarious spoof video that pokes fun at films that are nominated for Academy Awards using obvious mock scenes from movies you will recognize like Dead Poets Society and using creative commentary pointing out the obvious situations going on in the scene. Here is an example:
A scene that is meant to look like Last of the Mohicans with this line being said,
"Also, I've decided to fight with the Native American metaphor against the American military metaphor."
Great stuff and its a must watch for any movie fan. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Thanks to FusedFilm.com reader Ashley for passing this along.
The two young filmmakers have a movie that will be screening at the SXSW Film Festival this week called Eagles Are Turning People Into Horses.
