Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • We see the real life assassination of a political figure and ensuing panic. Some blood.
  • Windshields with bullet holes are also seen.
  • Bloodied bodies and faces are seen. These can be disturbing, especially considering it is real and not stage make-up.

Profanity

  • Some mild language, including "sons of bitches."

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Pablo Escobar ran a drug cartel, so we see some images of drugs throughout and drugs are talked about often.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • We see real protests and bloodied dead bodies, which can be disturbing to some viewers.
  • Columbia goes into a panic with police roaming the streets and windshields shot as they hunt for Escobar. An interviewee also discusses the danger he was in with tensions so high surrounding Escobar, and there's mention of a bomb threat.
  • We also hear from family members who lost fathers because of Pablo Escobar. This can be emotional to some, but the overall message of the movie is forgiveness and burying the sins of the eponymous father.
