The "3rd and Fairfax" exteriors were filmed at the Du-pars diner at the well known 3rd and Fairfax intersection. All interior scenes were shot at the Du-pars location on Ventura in Studio City. Jus Riddick, the director, felt the interiors there looked more like a traditional diner.
There was to be another segment, "Venice Beach", with a police chase through the popular beach town. The extra budget needed fell through, and the story was cut.
Jus Riddick refers to this movie as his "film school" as he has no formal education in filmmaking.
A majority of the stories contained within this movie are based on real occurrences in Los Angeles.
Haley Strode was the third actor to take the role of "Lauren" after repeated issues with the two initial choices.
