Why does China have a hobby of plagiarizing people's project and work? This shows that there is no special creativity that can create a story plot... I saw some of these scenes like being worked on from the Crawl movie scene. Someone uses a boat and then gets eaten by a crocodile, then people ask for help and wave to get a helicopter and even a leaking water embankment scene. I'm so sick of this rubbish movie, low budget, bad acting, and even this movie crocodile is like just a stiff doll.

Of course I had never heard about the 2021 Chinese movie "Kuang E Hai Xiao" (aka "Crazy Tsunami") prior to sitting down to watch it. Initially I was a bit hesitant to watch it, given the ludicrous English translated title. I mean, "Crazy Tsunami", that just makes absolutely no sense.
Yet, I opted to give director Zhou Jiu Qin's 2021 creature feature the benefit of the doubt, and thus sat down to watch it, after having recently sat through two other Chinese creature features as well, those being "Land Shark" and "Escape the Shark".
The storyline in "Kuang E Hai Xiao" was actually fairly entertaining. Sure, it was a generic script, but the movie turned out to be entertaining and enjoyable nonetheless. And isn't that what a movie's sole purpose is? So the writer or writers turned out to be quite adequate.
I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie. But they had a fairly good ensemble of actors and actresses on the cast list to bring the characters and story to life on the screen.
Why did they dub the non-Chinese actors and actresses in the movie? That made zero sense, especially because the dubbed performers spoke English with a thick Chinese accent. Which in turn made the non-Chinese people in the movie appear like caricatures.
I will say that the CGI animated crocodile, named Gustave, was actually nicely rendered and looked fairly realistic, which is a very important part for a creature feature such as "Kuang E Hai Xiao"
If you enjoy creature features, and crocodile-themed movies, then "Kuang E Hai Xiao" is definitely well-worth checking out. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was adequately entertained from start to end. China has been spewing out a lot of creature features with monstrously large animals within the last couple of years, and "Kuang E Hai Xiao" is definitely one of the more enjoyable of the kind.
My rating of "Kuang E Hai Xiao" lands on a six out of ten stars.
