- Arion's true origins are revealed.

- In Poseidonis, Orin goes to see Orm in the prison, Orin is sure that Orm isn't his brother, and asks hat Vandal is up to. Orm insists that he isn't a clone, and M'gann joins them and telepathically confirms that Orm believes he's telling the truth. Orin points out that Orm believes Orin visited him before, but notes that he never did in the past but just came to the prison but never his half brother. Orm doesn't believe it, and M'gann offers her help if Orm will let him. He refuses, and Orm and M'gann swim off.
Throughout Xebel, the people call for Arion. Nereus tells Orin and the others that he should have Arion arrested for treason, and his daughter Mera warns him that doing so could turn the protests into a full blown revolution throughout the kingdom. Nereus points out that Orin has only recently came to Xebel, and Mera hasn't set foot in the city of her birth in years. When Orin points out that Nereus shames the blame, Mera tells them to both stop arguing and reminds them that Arion has done nothing wrong. Chian points out that they confirm Arion's authenticity without the lost crown.
In the undersea, Kal and his team stop when a thermal vent opens in front of them. Wynnde stops it, and La'gaan complains about the mission taking so long when Coral is pregnant. Kal tells him to embrace the mission 100% or go home, and La'gaan says that he'll stay. Wynnde hangs back with La'gaan and tells him that Kal is also exhausted and he is still suffering Conner's death. La'gaan understands and wishes he knew how to help Kal and M'gann with their grief. Wynnde worries that the grief Kal is holding within himself will rise up and overtake him. A leviathan rises up in front of the team.
In Xebel, Orin calls the council of delegates to order. Topo reports that Coral isn't in attendance because she's in labor, and she has granted Topo her proxy. He figures the council will end with a vote to make Arion the High King of Atlantis. Arion arrives outside.
The team tries to swim away, and the leviathan pulls them back with the suction from its mouth. La'gaan expands and jams a ruined pillar into the leviathan's mouth, and it spits him out. His teammates confirm that he's okay, while the leviathan storms off. Delphis points out the chasm the leviathan emerge from, and the team swims into it. She illuminates the way and they find Atlantis' original capital. Wynnde's tattoos light up, indicating powerful magic in the ruins. They swim on and find the crown, and another leviathan swims toward them.
In Poseidonis, Orm demands to see Orin. M'gann arrives and tells Orm that Orin is otherwise occupied, and Orm says that he wants the truth and allows M'gann to probe his mind. She does so and recognizes Psimon's mind touch, and she takes Orm back to his first true memory. Vandal and Ultra-Humanite are monitoring Orm's accelerated growth, and wipe his memories of seeing them.
Arion wonders if he should take the thrown for the sake of Atlantis, and Mera points out that Orin is already the ruler. Topo points out that Arion has saved Atlantis and twice fulfilled the prophecy, and if they want to maintain rulership of their city-states they must elect Arion the High King.
Orm remembers more of Savage and Psimon implanting his memories, and Vandal saying that Project Thrinos can proceed.
Orin points out that they know almost nothing of Arion, but says that he serves at the behest of the people. He calls the vote and the other delegates vote in Arion's favor. Nereus votes against Arion, much to Mera's surprise. He says that he's voting for himself, not Orin, but Arion received the majority of votes and is made High King.
In the clone's memories, Vandal says that his son's flute had a sample of his grandson's DNA. He tells the clone of Arion it is his chance to redeem himself before the Light, and tells him to memorize everything Vandal knows about Arion's life, and learn from Wotan how to wield magic. Meanwhile, the clone of Orm will be programmed to lose to the Arion clone, will be defeated, and no longer be of any use or concern.
The Orm clone wakes up, and M'gann offers her condolences to what the Light did to him.
The Arion clone swims forward to present himself to the people.
Kal drives one of his swords into the leviathan's side, and has everyone else join him in riding the creature. As it swims upward, Kal drive sit into a wall and the team leaps free just in time. The collision creates a gap that the team swim through to escape the undersea. They return to Poseidonis and see the clone Arion accepting the position of High King. Delphis secretly radios Orin and tells him what they've discover, but Orin figures that no one would believe him if he revealed the truth.
The team arrives and the Arion clone tells them to give him the crown. He magically summons the crown to his hand, and Orin tells Arion that is hubris and he shouldn't put it on. Arion ignores him and dons the crown, and the Lords of Order use it to disintegrate the clone and absorb the energy they invested in the crown. Mera says that it all proves that the clone was false to the prophecy, and says that Orin is the true High King. She puts the crown on Orin, but Orin says that Mera is the true High King and fulfills the prophecy. The people cheer Mera, and the delegates agree. Mera tries to decline, but Orin tells her that she was raised to be king and she accepts. Mera tells the people that all Atlanteans must be united as one people, and she and Orin embrace.
Later, La'gaan tells Wynnde that Kal was a bad ass fighting the Leviathan, and Ronin worries that Kal will use it as another excuse not to rest. They join Kal, who is asking Orin what he will do next. Orin says that he will raise his son, and support Mera in her rule. He will also rejoin the League, figuring it can embrace two Aquamen so that Kal doesn't have to step down. Orin says that the League can accept three Aquamen, and tells La'gaan as he arrives that it is time. Kal tells them that he's taking a leave of absence and kisses Wynnde.
On Warworld, Nabu comes to see Vandal and tell him that the Lords of Order will never have allowed the crown to be used by Vandal's agent. Vandal insists that Thrinos would have brought order to three-quarters of the globe, but Fate tells him that a new story begins without Vandal and departs. Furious, Vandal snaps Arion's flute in half.
M'gann finishes clearing the clone Orm's mind as Orin looks on. Orin tells the clone that he's free to go, and he can't be held responsible for the crimes of the original Orm, or crime causes by his programming by the Light. Orin wants to give the "new" Orm a second chance, and leaves with M'gann.
Orm leaves Poseidonis.
Orin spends time with Mera and their son.
La'gaan holds his child when Coral gives birth.
Kal relaxes with his lover, and accepts that he has been holding a great deal inside for a long time.
In the void, Conner sits on an asteroid with the unconscious Ghosty, and figures that he's failed her and M'gann. He believes that he's nothing but a beast, and Superman always knew. A school bus soars overhead and then disappears, not hearing Conner's pleas for help. Conner remembers the bus on the bridge, and figures that he's losing his mind. Lex Luthor appears and puts a hand on Conner's shoulder, and says "Red Sun".
Kal goes to the memorial with Black Canary, and talks about how so many have died for his creating Young Justice out of pride, and he must come to terms with his grief.
