Nothing godly about this movie Warning: Spoilers
This is a 90-minute television movie from over five years ago starring Michaela May and Jan Fedder. But sadly, it is pretty crappy. The film's director is actually successful and prolific, won an Adolf Grimme award many years ago for a Götz George "Tatort". But he alone cannot turn this horrible script into a decent movie. The male central character is a priest, so they could not create a love story around him and May's character, so they just took her best friend for that. For it does not work without a stupid love story in these kind of movies you know. Oh well.. at least the raging husband was occasionally funny when he attempted to call Fedder's character as he thought that he was the lover of his wife. Anyway, Fedder actually did a good job here with what he was given. I like him as an actor. But that is pretty much everything decent about this movie. Oh wait no.. there is also a random basket full of baby kittens. Hilarious stuff actually, they also never go out. So yeah, at least the cute kitties occasionally managed to distract me from this unfunny comedy movie. May is entirely forgettable and Vester is pretty bad most of the time. Sadly, the filmmakers couldn't see this, so they decided to make a sequel two years later. And it has the same stupid title like this one (with a one-word addition) I can only shake my head at that decision, but I certainly will not be watching it anytime soon.
