If wi-fi isn't working on your iPad there are a few quick things to try: (1) in Settings turn off wi-fi on the iPad and turn it back on, (2) turn the iPad off and back on, and (3) turn off or unplug your router then turn it back on. Hopefully you're now good but if not there are more things to try.
