Quite the Ride
Really engrossing and well done. Setting a movie in one place can become monotonous and tedious in other hands, but not in this case. I was hooked early on and kept at the edge of my seat. Koko Marshall was enthralling and very watchable. Not only did she hold my attention, but I empathized with her, not always easy to accomplish, and the actress let me see the character's humanity. The camera work of Dakota Curtis was interesting, unusual, and made the film much more watchable. It's a great tale full of twists and turns that kept us guessing. Kudos to the director, Rick Ives, for a great job.

A Vivid and Excellent Thriller
"Rock Solid Trust" is a vivid and excellent film that is driven by a powerhouse performance by Koko Marshall. I admire how fast she thinks under pressure. How poised she is in the face of adversity. Although limited to one location, the pacing of this thriller keeps the viewer engrossed in the story. The camerawork, the editing, the score - all work seamlessly to keep the film moving quickly. The director of this film - Rick Ives - has crafted a suspenseful and entertaining heist thriller. Most impressive is Rick's ability to provide a fresh perspective and develop an original story in a popular genre of filmmaking. I highly recommend this film.
A fun ride
Director Rick Ives took an interesting approach to this film. Shooting mostly in one location with one actor while telling the full story of a bank heist is not an easy task, but he pulls it off perfectly!
I liked how Koko Marshall handled the complexities of the script, and I LOVED how she managed to keep the suspense going throughout the film. It's not easy to perform while only responding to a voice on a cell phone, but she crushed it.
The quick editing cuts in the middle of the action was a perfect addition to an already tense film.
This film kept my attention, and it will do the same for you.

Fantastic movie!
What a great movie! It is very well written and there are a lot of twists and turns in the plot. It was definitely not predictable and there were multiple twists that caught me off guard. The main actress (Koko Marshall) does a phenomenal job. I had not seen her previously, but she is very talented! I was also very pleased with the quality of the filming and editing. The film is very engaging and suspenseful-not a relaxing movie to watch. Would highly recommend Solid Rock Trust! It's great supporting independent films and seeing ones so well done. Congratulations to the writer, director, actresses and actors, editors and all involved!

Keeps You Interested with a Terrific Lead Actress
Koko Marshall holds "Solid Rock Trust" together as she switches between various accents and juggles a range of emotions all at once. You like watching her and you definitely have no idea what tricks she holds up her sleeve.
Virtually the whole movie takes place in a single location as a hacker orchestrates a bank heist from a warehouse, but the director keeps changing up the pace to keep the audience interested and he throws in a nice twist toward the end that you do not see coming.
One particularly fun sequence is when Koko Marshall switches between two different voices and basically has a conversation with herself to impersonate two people, a creative choice from director Rick Ives.
Not a wasted 96 minutes.

Solid Rock Trust is Rock Solid Fun
Yo, check it: Solid Rock Trust ain't just another flick-it's a solo star in its own league! I could spill the beans, but nah, that'd spoil the gig. This indie gem screams "brilliance" on a low budget vibe, and Rick Ives? Man, he's hit the jackpot with his debut joint (hard to believe, right?). Picture this: a slick heist drama loaded with mad cleverness, and Koko Marshall? Straight up, dialect genius delivering pure tension vibes! The editing? Smooth and quick, packed with all them unexpected twists and turns you'd crave in this genre. Keeping that pressure cooker boiling in one spot takes skill, but yo, he nails it where others trip. I'm hyped to peep his next move-dude's got serious talent!

Classic suspense thriller with its heart in the right place.
"Solid Rock Trust" by writer/director Rick Ives manages to keep you hanging on the edge of the seat by using small means in an extremely effective way. The story takes place in one location focusing for the most part on one woman. This, of course, would be a huge burden on any actor but Koko Marshall caries that burden with grace and determination and the stillness of her movements is often counterbalanced by a manically moving held-hand camera. This gives the movie the momentum it needs. All of that pays off because the writing is spot on. The dramatic music that uses all the well-known tricks that let audiences identify the mood easily also highlights the suspense that is dissolved in a quite surprising way.

Great acting, great story
I was so impressed by this tense 'keep you on the edge of your seat' film. The movie never lets up on the tension, though mostly filmed in one location with one primary actor, it races forward with it's constantly shifting camera choices and well placed heightening music. I became so invested in the lead character Maddie, wanting her to succeed and survive. The actress Koko Marshall is incredibly talented, pulling off this complicated character with so much heart and immediacy, carrying us through second to second. Congrats to the director Rick Ives and the team who put this film together. It was a great ride.
This is how you do a solo location film
This movie is suspense. This move is emotion. This movie is mystery. I am so blown away by this film from the music to the acting. It essentially takes place in one location with mainly 1 actor and they DELIVER. From the opening, you know you are in for a ride and to be honest it does not let up. It keeps the gas pedal pressed. I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone interested in a fun watch with twists, emotion, and originality. The way it feels like a straight hour and a half, one-take style WHILE keeping your interest is super impressive and the filmmakers to this indie should be extremely proud.
Instantly one of the most memorable films of all time
This is a film that I will always remember. It was so unique and did so much with so little. I wad hooked once things got moving and the performance from Koko was phenomenal.
This movie had one setting and a minimal cast but this movie provided a thrill ride that most high budget movies aren't able to pull off. The twists were clever and kept coming, the story was great, the acting was great, even little things like the camera angles were fantastic.
I Heard about Rick Ives on the Reel Drinks Podcast and decided to give this movie a shot. I will be following his career as I really look forward to seeing more of his content.

Rock Solid Heist Flick
The film, "Rock Solid Trust," follows the story of a female mastermind, who leads a team of thieves on a daring cyber heist.
What sets this movie apart from others in the genre is, instead of relying on traditional heist elements and visuals, the film is told from the female mastermind's POV, who controls her team and every aspect of the heist with several cell phones and a bank of computers. For the first two acts of the film we mostly only see the mastermind, her cohorts are just voices on the cell phones. This approach is clever and surprisingly effective.
The lead actress does an amazing job of pretty much carrying the entire first two acts of the movie. She's supported by some amazing voice acting that managed to make these unseen characters quite vivid. The third act opens things up a bit and we get some nice surprises, but the initial contained conceit for the most part is skillfully maintained.
The cinematography is confident and professional, but what really stands out is the audio work. The film is loaded with complex sound effects mixed with voice performances and it's handled expertly.
Despite the limitations of location and bodies on screen, the film's director does an excellent job of keeping the visual and narrative interesting from start to finish.
Whether you're a fan of heist movies or just looking for a fun and suspenseful film, "Rock Solid Trust" is definitely worth checking out.

"Solid Rock Trust" is more than just a heist movie.
"Solid Rock Trust" stands out as an impressive feat in filmmaking. Rick Ives, the writer and director, exhibits commendable skill, and Dakota Curtis's camera work is notably sharp. However, it's KoKo Marshall's captivating performance that truly steals the spotlight. Set predominantly in a single location with a primary focus on one actor, the film proves to be a compelling showcase of talent.
Despite the initial premise of a high-end bank heist, the movie cleverly navigates both the intricacies of the heist and the intense character study of the lone actor. It's a testament to the film's brilliance that it seamlessly combines these elements into a smart, engaging, and intriguing thriller.

Wow - Blown away!
What a great movie! I watch a lot of independent cinema and am usually underwhelmed so when I sat down to view this flick I wasn't expecting much. I'm thrilled to say I was blown away. This is essentially a one-person-in-a-room movie but don't let that fool you. I was on the edge of my seat from the jump. A super cool crime dram with an awesome premise. The plot twists and turns as we go deeper down the rabbit hole with our lead portrayed by the amazing Koko Marshal. Kudos to her for her performance and incredible vocal work in the movie (no spoilers). Director Rick Ives expertly executed his vision. This movie is a thrill ride from start to finish. Must watch!

Rock Solid Film
Solid Rock Trust is an impressive filmmaking achievement. It's a smart, involving, and intriguing thriller about a high end bank heist. The directing is brilliant, and depicts the main character from almost every angle possible, while making use of extended long takes and short snappy insert shots, making for an immersive viewing experience. Even though this is primarily a thriller, I thought that a few of the emotional moments were actually the high points in the film. The lead actress who portrayed Maddie carries the movie and does so effortlessly, she is truly talented. The directing and editing were extremely impressive. Give this one a watch!
Awesome one location movie.
I'm not a real fan of movies that's set in one location. They usually get boring after a while, BUT, Solid Rock Trust broke that stereotype one-location movie. This is a high-tech movie & highly entertaining. The lead Koko Marshall really carried the whole movie, not an easy task when you are in every scene throughout the movie.
Director Rick Ives, took a one location script and made into a very entertaining movie, really use the set very well.
Beautifully shot, well written, well acted, well directed, and full of surprises, you won't go wrong with purchasing or renting this movie.
I highly recommend it.

A Single Location Tour-de-Force
For the first 10 minutes of thriller Solid Rock Trust, we are never sure who exactly Maddie (Koko Marshall) is as she orchestrates a sophisticated bank heist using several cell phones, her laptop and an array of screens in a shadowy warehouse. Marshall's spot-on impersonations of French, Australian, English, Spanish, and Russian women (and at one point a male Brooklyn cop!) keep us and her accomplices guessing. Then, when the robbery begins to go pear-shaped, Maddy has to think fast to keep herself and her collaborators alive. This is a solid, well-crafted one location thriller that compares favorably to Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Steve Knight's Locke. Rick Ives, who writes, directs and edits, keeps the dramatic tension taut, with plenty of plot twists and the film's excellent neo-noir cinematography (Dakota Curtis) perfectly complements Koko Marshall's tour-de-force performance.

Solid as a rock!
Talk about carrying an entire film on your shoulders?! Not many directors/writers will allow a female lead to drive a film and entrust the success of the film on her performance alone. But man, did she deliver! I've never seen this actress before, but the range and the choices she makes really deliver a powerful performance in Solid Rock Trust. It's nearly impossible to make a film based in one location, and never seeing, only hearing, the other actors. But coupled with the fast paced story, an amazing actor, and camera angles that keep you vested, this film really pulls it off. I found myself pulling for the actors off screen, and feeling heartbroken for our lead. I have no idea how she kept it all together, and never missed a beat. It is very suspenseful, and you will find yourself emotionally connecting to people you never even see! At times, the music is cut, in exchange for a stillness and you find yourself on the edge just waiting for the next call. I would have loved to see what this team could do with a bigger budget!! Would they still make the same choices? Or would we have seen the other actors and locations? Great job the the cast and crew.

Terrific Cinematography
Thrill ride that will keep you guessing. Great performances and cinematography lift this film to the next level. A great crime fiction thriller that fuses a high tech plot with classic storytelling. Particularly powerful is the well executed female lead. She's smart, tough and brilliantly played by Koko Marshall. Although the film is set in one place, the plot, pacing, and performances keep driving the film forward without a hitch. Held my attention until the end. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to anyone looking for a well made, fast paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Solid Indie Film
Solid Rock Trust is a solid indie film! It's a one location movie, which oftentimes gets tiresome by the second act, but SRT defines all odds. Director Rick Ives does a great job of ramping up the stakes and the suspense. The telephone conversations could have sounded fake and staged, but instead you are continually drawn further into the story.
The lead actress, Koko Marshall, carried the whole film, which is no small feat. If she wasn't as talented as she is, the film simply wouldn't have worked. My one small gripe of the film though is the cinematography; it was too noticeable. At times, especially in the first ten minutes, all I could think about was the camera movement. It was taking me out of the story. Having said that, there were times when the camera work seemed motivated and heightened the emotion of the scene.
All-in-all, I highly recommend this film. Director Rick Ives did a great job and I look forward to his next project!

Clever Thriller
Solid Rock Trust is a well made and exciting film.
While the film mostly takes place in one location, it is suspenseful and entertaining.
The lead actress is in nearly every shot and her performance is captivating.
While a so-called "bottle film", Solid Rock Trust is inventive in its style.
The structure of the film also keeps you guessing.
There are lots of twists and turns, which will keep you engaged until the end of the film.
I look forward to what the actors and filmmakers do next!!
This is a creative team worth paying attention to.
And Solid Rock Trust is a film that's worthy of your time.

What an amazing movie that you wont want to miss!
Solid Rock Trust grabbed my attention and didn't let go. When I thought the story was going one way, it would twist and go another. I loved the suspence this movie has. The acting was great and so was the story line. This move get 2 thumbs up from me. I loved the set decoractions as well. I'm really impressed with the filmmakers ability to hold my attention with only seeing one side of the action. The twist at the end really blew me away. Koko Marshall did an amazing job carrying this movie. Congratulations to the writer, director, actors, actresses and all that were involved. Very impressive.
Solid Action Film!
Solid Rock Trust is a really intriguing action/thriller film from writer/director Rick Ives. The music is really strong and kept me engaged as the story moved along. The story's pacing was wonderful, too. I also truly enjoyed the camera work and how it helped the pacing and also built tension, while keeping visual intrigue since we remained in one location the whole time.
The special effects makeup was awesome! The main actress, Koko Marshall, did a fantastic job with all of the accents and different scenarios she was spinning throughout the whole story, and kept me wondering who she really was and what she was going to do next. Whose side was she on? It was so hard to tell! Very good storytelling. The sound design was also spot-on, which is especially important in a one-location movie such as this one. This one is definitely worth your time! Check it out!

Exciting
This movie was really quite the ride. Every time you think the twists and plot turns can't go much further, it spins off... and we're off and running again! I have to be honest, I can get get bored pretty easily. People rave about certain movies or TV shows. Then I watch them and go, yeah, OK. Whatever. And I shut it off after about 20 minutes. But this movie grabbed me early and just never let go. A really well acted, written and directed film. Suspenseful, exciting. And all I'm guessing done on a very moderate budget. But they did so much with so little. Kudos to the cast and filmmakers. A very big thumbs up from me!

Rock Solid Fun
Rock Solid Fun
An International Cast of - One! That's right one and brilliant and I'd ruin it for you if I explained more. This is what I expect of a truly independent low budget feature and Rick Ives has really scored one with this his first feature film (which is kind of hard to believe.) A very clever heist drama with a perfect and tense performance from dialectically gifted Koko Marshall. Skilfully and swiftly edited too with all the twists and turns that go with the genre. It takes an enormous talent to keep the tension high with barely more than one location and he succeeds where many others have failed. I am eager to see what he does next.
