Sosie Bacon may only be 21, but she has a lot going for her. On top of being 2014's Miss Golden Globe, through her father Kevin Bacon, she is connected to nearly everyone in Hollywood - including every other previous Miss Golden Globe, most of whom are also the daughters (or sons) of industry power players. And while some have a connection through their famous parents, others, such as Laura Dern (who happens to have famous parents), are also connected through their own work. Don't believe us? Here's how you get from young Ms. Bacon to all of her famous predecessors,...

Dallas is unequivocally one of the most iconic TV shows of all time. But star Linda Gray uses an allegory from one of film’s biggest franchises to explain how it feels to reunite with co-stars Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy: “We’re like the kids on Harry Potter,” Gray says gleefully, in reference to legendary trio Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. “We’re going back to Hogwarts!”

“Expecting Mary” is a light, heartwarming family story. It’s a different direction for its writer-director Dan Gordon, who is known neither for lightness nor female roles, and the star Gordon wrote the film for, Linda Gray. That difference is exactly where the genesis for “Expecting Mary” lay — eventually.
“I’d known Dan for 27 years — he was working on ‘Highway to Heaven’ and I was on ‘Dallas.’ In 2001, I did ‘The Graduate’ in London, and Dan came backstage and said, ‘I loved your performance. … Would you like to do ‘Terms of Endearment’ as a play?’” She remembers her initial response: “Whoa! That’s heavy duty, doing a play where everybody won an Academy Award.” But, like “The Graduate’s” Mrs. Robinson and “Dallas’” Sue Ellen, “Terms of Endearment’s” Aurora was another interesting woman to portray. But after having lived the character of Aurora, whose daughter dies of cancer, Gray...

“Expecting Mary” is the story of a teenage girl who runs away from her mother’s home and hitchhikes in all innocence to her father’s because she expects he will be more supportive of her in her pregnancy. After all, he lives in L.A. Plus, he’s an old rock musician. But it’s in an unplanned stay-over among strangers in a bleak trailer park where the poor little rich girl finds the sense of home that she seeks.
We first meet Mary on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere. A kindly truck driver, Horace (Elliot Gould, in the bluff and believing character — albeit more down to earth — whom we know from his “Ocean’s” performances), picks her up. He becomes the catalyst around which Mary’s story evolves when he pulls off the road to a truck stop/casino, introduces Mary to his girlfriend,...

HollywoodNews.com: Linda Gray tells us she had a blast making the big-screen “Expecting Mary,” which has an anticipated fall release. The indie film has a pregnant teen – Oleysa Rulin of “High School Musical” fame – running away and winding up in a trailer park, the denizens of which are a colorful assortment of crazies in their Aarp years. Linda Stars with Elliott Gould, Lanie Kazan, Cybill Shepherd, Cloris Leachman, Della Reese, Fred Willard and Gene Simmons.
“We shot it in 18 days. Because everybody loved their role, we all came together quickly. It was like going to party you can’t wait to go to,” says the actress who reigned over the TV scene as Sue Ellen Ewing on “Dallas” back in the 80s. Gray plays a former Vegas showgirl “whose last gig was in New Mexico. She’s funny and pathetic – and still can be glamorous.

I wasn't the type to root for either Troy or Gabriella when forced to watch High School Musical. Other than the villainous Sharpay, it was the quiet but conniving Kelsi who made the movie bearable for me. It wasn't just because of her hats too, but that was a plus.
Anyway, Olesya Rulin, best known for her role in the hugely popular Disney franchise, has landed yet another film role to push her career forward. She's set to appear on the upcoming drama The Christmas Movie, set to hit cinemas next year. The actress discussed her role with Et Online, even giving us a sneak peek of the scenes they'll be filming.
