good episode

Warning: Spoilers
Malva is evil since the first time they showed her. Let's see what she's going to do next.

Did she kill the old man we saw lying dead somewhere in the woods?

It was nice to see Lord John again. He is so cool.

Who is the new time traveller at the end of the episode, whistling the military song that is futured in the "The bridge on the river Kwai"

tension and progress

Things are building. Loved the creepy turn to witchcraft for the daughter, and her darker side showing. Wolf amongst the sheep.

Great to see lord john again. They're keeping mum about their knowledge of the future but am loving the little details they do let through, like plumbing and airplane toys.

Great scenery and vibe again. A great way to spend an hour,

Back to Roots!
ecatalan9819 April 2022
Outlander is going for old style drama and tension! By this I mean, the almost unbearable drama and tension we endured during "Outlander's" first 3 seasons. Not that the rest of the seasons were milder, but they were a bit of a rest compared to the overall story. Seeing Lord John is always fun, as he is a genuine friend of Jamie Frasier, despite the lord being a closet gay nobleman.

And no matter what they do to Catriona Balfe make up wise, it will always be hard to make her look ugly: we're looking at an almost PERFCT woman in every sense of the word: beautiful, feisty, intelligent, brave, resourceful, etc. Basically the woman every man SHOULD have if one would appreciate her character.

Outlander might not be "Game Of Thrones", but it still is the CLOSEST thing we have on TV right now! "The Witcher"??? Come on! Yeah, it's got great action and season 2 corrected many things, but it still not a GOT! "Wheel Of Fortune"? Great series, but again, no "Game Of Thrones".... Quite far from it in fact.

If you haven't seen "Outlander", you're missing some of streamIng TVs best written and best produced series to date!

Is Lord John a vampire?

Outlander's characters lack of aging is distracting. They could have at least given Lord John a few strands of gray hair. He looks the same as he did 20+ years ago. Flora MacDonald didn't age either.

Best episode so far! Wow!
elliottremblay5 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As someone who has read the book before, what a surprisingly amazing episode! The best so far! The true face of each resurfaces in a subtle and brilliant way. Brianna with her new baby on the way, Jocasta dealing with her grief, Jamie becoming a rebel, Roger helping the Ridge with his acquaintances and Claire who is still struggling with the recent horrific event, and with those at Versailles in the second book ( season 2 episode 7 with the King). Bonnie Prince Charlie's cameo was so compelling with the new opening credits right after.

Finally, there are two major highlights of this episode. First, Malva's true evil and manipulative face resurfaces with her love spell and menacing Roger. This storyline is going to be epic and it's perfectly crafted and crafted in the TV show as I reminisce in the book, amazing job!

And last but not least is that mysterious man in jail that we saw glimpsed in the final season with his mysterious song and mysterious gem....... « Does the name Ringo Starr mean anything to you...? » remember this!

Everything is set to be big and explosive.

Once again, what an amazing episode!

Give Me Liberty

Warning: Spoilers
A little slow at times, but running and hiding from the soldiers, and the potential struggles with Claire all set the stage for a good next few episodes. Outlander feels rejuvenated a bit this season.

So far from what Diana wrote
caraseen-118 April 2022
This episode was so confusing, started watching again because it made no sense. Every single scene was so far from the excellent books it's almost pointless. I keep hoping they will get back on track but it gets worse. Really sad because the books were amazing and I really wanted to see them come to life. I keep watching mainly for Jaime!
