Cast your minds back to 2002 - a time when Pop Idols didn't need to have The X Factor, Fifty Shades of Grey were just colours on a paint sampler chart and David Beckham was a mere international superstar rather than global megastar.
Bend It Like Beckham, with a modest estimated budget of £3.7 million, opened that same year and became a critical and commercial success - breaking box office records and scoring BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations, as well as making household names of many of its stars.
As the cast continues preparing for the West End stage adaptation of Gurinder Chadha's screen hit ahead of previews on May 15, find out what the movie's ensemble cast went on to achieve - including who is coming back for the musical...

Fame Academy may only have lasted two series, but boy, did it burn bright. And even though it was over ten years ago that it was on our screens, we're still belting out David Sneddon's utter tune 'Stop Living The Lie' at our DS karaoke sessions.
But the news of series two's Alistair Griffin teaming up with Kimberley Walsh for a Tour de France single got us thinking - what happened to all of our favourite Fame Academy contestants? Well, here's what we could find out about 16 of the students over both series...

The cast includes Christopher Dane (Born of Hope), Lee Boardman (Rome), Eva Pope (Waterloo Road), Jessica Blake (The Butterfly Tattoo) as well as Chris Hannon (Lunch Monkeys), Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather), John Thompson, Terry Christian and Roy Walker.A percentage of the film's box office is apparently going to Amnesty International, and a release date is due to be announced in the next couple of days. Check out the poster...
