Edgar Wright, a researcher on the programme, admitted years later that he'd secretly shot and/or reshot around "a third" of the sketches featured on the programme, as the technical standard of the submitted material was too low to broadcast. It's generally accepted that "Reservoir Wigs" was one of the sketches that Wright surreptitiously worked on.
The decision to show a spoof of Reservoir Dogs (1992) to a pre-watershed family audience is an odd one, as technically a number of the audience wouldn't have been able to have seen the original film being parodied.
