I have enjoyed this show from start to finish, but this was an episode that kind of had me tuning out a bit. I feel like it got serious at the worst times, and then the comedy they tried to force in did not work. How many times have we seen a male character stumble over their parents before trying to do something romantic? That bit is so played out.
This show has a uniqueness too in a fairly common American suburb, but this episode is not one I would highlight to anyone to tell them why they need to start watching The Big Door Prize. Best to move on to the new episode we are going to get next week.
