... and each other. Siskel and Ebert did a special every year where they reviewed Oscar nominations and picked their own winners, this being for 1987 Academy Award nominees. This year they pretty much agree on everything. That's why I only give this show a 7/10. There is just not much surprising or passionate about it.

On the worst nomination - They go through all Oscar nominations and determine who they feel is most unworthy for the year 1987. Ann Sothern had essentially a walk-on part in The Whales of August, and received what Siskel called a "Thank You for Your Career" nomination. Roger liked Fatal Attraction, but he thought that it was disappointing how it spent 75% of its running time being a smart film about a mentally ill woman and then devolved into Friday the 13th.
