Every. Season. Counts.
The Bear's renewal for simultaneously filmed third and fourth seasons was sweet dad-rock music to the ears of critics and audiences alike.
After sweeping the Emmys and benefiting from word-of-mouth buzz around its Christmas-themed episode "Fishes," the show was practically guaranteed renewal to give us at least one more season with the volatile and tight-knit Berzattos.
An Interesting Experiment
Capitalizing on the moment by filming back-to-back seasons was a smart move for the series and might become a trend for other shows.
Logistically it makes sense to take advantage of utilizing a show's cast and crew for two seasons in one go, instead of having to align all of those schedules again in another eighteen months or so.
In the current landscape of surprise cancellations, it also makes creative sense for a show to film a multi-season arc without the worry of ending on a cliffhanger.

Evil Season 4 Episode 3 is brimming with juicy details and reveals that really get the conversation going for the remainder of the season.
Sheryl's working from the inside to take down Leland? The Anti-Christ was born! David's first remote viewing mission is life or death for many.
Let's dig into Evil!
David's First Mission
David's remote viewing training was very short, and his first mission was literally life and death.
But David can be quite stubborn when he wants to be, so he barely gave viewing a shot when Father Dominic gave him the assignment. David feels used, and he doesn't like that one of only 250 priests in the US is now his handler.
If it's a conspiracy of some sort based on race, I'd be surprised. Father Dominic's Nigerian origins are the more likely explanation for his involvement.
Americans are skeptical of things like remote viewing, but when...

Shōgun‘s story will continue — and the people behind it have an idea where it goes from here.

Cinema is an art, and every artist has a distinct manner of converting their work across. Among the stalwarts of cinema, Quentin Tarantino stands as one of the most highly acclaimed directors, and Samuel L. Jackson, as one of his most frequent collaborators.
Together, the duo have defined a genre of movies throughout the retro age and into modern Hollywood. Yet, one of their most iconic prospects faces a challenge from Jeremy Allen’s The Bear.
A still from The Bear | FX
The critically acclaimed FX series that premiered its first episode in 2022 followed an award-winning chef transitioning from New York to Chicago. The drama-comedy has its own storyline and engaging plot to follow along with a fine cast to complement it all. Yet, it is surprisingly loaded in one aspect that potentially outnumbers the records garnered by the aforementioned cinema legends.

The Bear’s third season is landing on Hulu this month after a long anticipation, and a brand new trailer for the upcoming installment proves that there’ll be something more than just a mess in the restaurant’s kitchen.
With Carmy’s determination to transform his brother’s diner into an haute cuisine establishment on the foreground, the show’s latest season didn’t shy away from diving deep into the character’s family drama showing that there are so many issues for him to resolve in the future.
If the trailer’s most notable detail is indeed a sneak peek into the upcoming season’s focus shift, The Bear will surely go down the same road as CBS hit series Tracker recently did, and that’s what fans definitely want (and need).

Hands! Just when you thought Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and co. were getting a handle on their high-end restaurant, the challenges just keep on coming. We've had a couple of teasers, already, but the first full trailer for The Bear's third season promises plenty of drama, chaos and — despite its main man's clear dislike of them — surprises. Have a look:
Here's the official synopsis for the show… "Season 3 follows Carmy, Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), and Richard 'Richie' Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they do what it takes to elevate The Bear, their beef stand turned fine dining establishment, to the highest level, all while doing their best just to stay in business. It’s a losing battle every single day in the restaurant business. Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew, who do their best to match his intensity.

FX on Hulu’s The Bear will dish up an all-new season to kick off summer. Season 2 already elevated the show with its numerous guest stars as well as the transition of the family sandwich shop into a fine dining establishment. Season 1 swept the first of two Emmys ceremonies this year, with the second hoping to follow in those footsteps.
After Season 1 raked in its 10 Emmys at the 75th ceremony, the cast and crew had various responses to the comedy genre label. Since the show’s launch, stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have all been cast in other high profile projects like The Iron Claw for White, The Fantastic Four for Moss-Bachrach and Luca Guadagnino’s next film, The Hunt, for Edebiri.
Fans of the intense kitchen-set series may anticipate new faces and poignant needle drops like Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie.

Are we excited for The Bear season 3? Well, to borrow an old ursine hypothetical: does a bear shit in the woods? Look, we’ve been at this a long time and writing intros is getting harder. This is all to say that FX has finally released the full, final trailer for season 3 of its award-winning culinary dramedy The Bear. Please watch the clip now before I attempt any more bear jokes.
It was already anticipated that The Bear season 3 would be a remarkable television viewing experience since its first two seasons were that and then some. But even with those high expectations, this two-minute teaser really delivers. It seems as though The Original Beef of Chicagoland’s transformation into the upscale restaurant “The Bear,” is finally complete.

Season one of The Bear was about the stress of trying to save a financially ailing neighborhood restaurant, and season two captured the pressure of conceiving and opening a new — and very different — restaurant on a tight timeline.
Season three of the Emmy-winning, FX-produced Hulu series will follow Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and the rest of the team at The Bear as they try to keep their new venture going and live up to Carmy’s increasingly exacting standards. Or so a full trailer for the coming season, due June 27 on Hulu, promises.
The two-minute trailer greatly expands on a shorter teaser from last week (though it keeps The Rolling Stones’ “Mixed Emotions” as its soundtrack) by showcasing the tension between Carmy’s vision — he shares a list of “non-negotiables” that Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and the rest of the crew mock — and the day-to-day execution of it. It also...

The advent of streaming television a little over a decade ago changed TV forever. One of those was the idea of releasing entire television seasons simultaneously.
Traditionally, on network television, TV series have been released one episode a week throughout their season.
HBO and other premium cable networks have also released one episode a week, although the seasons are usually shorter.
However, when Netflix debuted its first significant prestige series, House of Cards, in 2013, it released every episode simultaneously.
For several years after that, Netflix released nearly all of its shows that way.
As other streaming services rose to compete with Netflix, they used different models.
Max, for instance, has retained HBO's traditional model of usually one episode per week.
Ironically, during this era, whole seasons of The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and other shows were released on DVD at once, likely encouraging the binge-watching habit.

While The Bear’s season 3 is nearly a month away from hitting Hulu, fans keep counting days till its release as the show has already teased big changes coming in the next installment.
The storyline so far was torn between Carmy’s personal struggles and his determination about turning his brother’s diner into a haute cuisine restaurant, but the third season is set to finally choose the focus it will follow.
Though it seems to be a pretty good chance for the series to go back to what it all started with, The Bear may still lose some of its charm if such a drastic shift is to happen.

With the appetite of a hungry grizzly, “The Bear” could gobble up a few Emmy records for its sophomore season. Fresh off a smashing first season that set a new benchmark for comedy series wins with 10 trophies, FX’s awards-gobbling show shows no signs of letting up. Its second season, which aired in June 2023, is eyeing three more records to own: most acting nominations for a series in a single year, most nods for a comedy, and most nominated episode in history with its sixth installment, “Fishes.”
“Fishes” dishes out a heated Christmas dinner flashback of the Berzatto family, positioning itself as the series’ pièce de résistance thus far — imagine the “Succession/Connor’s Wedding” version of family dinners, only with more food spills. Directed by Christopher Storer, who also co-wrote the episode with Joanna Calo, “Fishes” seems the obvious pick for Emmy nods in both directing and writing categories.

Cocaine Bear surprised everyone with its box office haul. For fans of animal attack movies, this is not a shock. People love animal attack films and can’t get enough of them. I’m not sure if it’s the man vs. nature theme of the films, the animals themselves getting revenge on humans, or just the all-around fun these films bring. No matter what, they are enjoyable for audiences in theaters. There has been a long history of animals attacking humans on film. Some films that are classified as ‘classic’ cinema fall into the animal attack category. We can always use more movies of animals rampaging through humans on the big screen. What are some of the best animal attack movies?

The 80s were a time when country music and a type of hero born of the good ol boy class that came into his own. This could be seen in shows like The Dukes of Hazzard, Bj and The Bear, as well as movies like Any Which Way But Loose and Smokey and the Bandit. They were a time of what would be considered fun action films and TV. Again, this was personified in shows where usually no one got seriously hurt, like The A-Team. The bad guys went to the same shooting school as your friendly neighborhood Stormtroopers. But, one TV show that would personify this “nobody better get hurt” adventure series was The Fall Guy.

Kerry Condon (“The Banshees of Inisherin”), William H. Macy and Clifton Collins Jr. have joined director Clint Bentley’s “Train Dreams,” Variety has learned.
Production on the film, from Black Bear and also starring Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones, began earlier this month in Spokane, Wash.
“Train Dreams” is the sweeping and poignant tale of Robert Grainier (Edgerton), a day laborer employed as a logger helping to expand the railways across America. Forced to spend prolonged periods of time away from his wife, Gladys (Jones), and their young daughter, Grainier struggles to make sense of his place in a rapidly changing world. As his story unfolds, he experiences great love, unspeakable loss, and unique bonds on a journey that is both distinct and universal. The picture features a script by Bentley and Greg Kwedar (“Sing Sing”), which is adapted from Denis Johnson’s iconic, Pulitzer Prize-nominated novella of the same name.

The “animals attack” subgenre is getting a new installment with the upcoming Savage Hunt, a survival thriller from director Roel Reiné (Halo) that Deadline has previewed today.
The site’s report – which brings us a first-look image, seen above – notes: “The production has told us they are currently using a real grizzly bear on location as part of the shoot.”
Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming Savage Hunt: “The story follows a vengeful tracker who is brought in to hunt down a large grizzly bear, which has begun attacking humans when a new local resort begins construction, disrupting the natural habitat of the wildlife.”
“We wanted to strive for as much realism as possible, showing how powerful nature can be, and the effects of man encroaching on an animal’s natural environment,” the producers said.
“Filming with a real bear in real locations with real actors is a very complex task.

Will Poulter’s arrival in the Hollywood circuit was a nondescript event followed by a splattering of teenage comic roles and anti-heroic sidekicks. It wasn’t until his arc in Jeremy Allen White’s series The Bear that the audience began seeing the actor as a true male lead, worthy not only of the spot at the top but looking every inch deserving of it. Quiet, focused, centered, and gravitational — something about Poulter’s role as Chef Luca drew the audience in like moths to a flame. The attraction to his character didn’t lie in his composed charm but in the unnamed, unspecified weight that he seemed to silently shoulder in his self-isolated corner of the world.

The Bear is set to return for Season 3 this summer, and when it comes to FX‘s kitchen-set dramedy, it’s hard to predict where the stellar story will take viewers as they continue to follow chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Syndey Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), Richie Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and their ragtag restaurant team. But has a surprise romance been brewing for some time? And no, it’s not between Sydney and Carmy or Sydney and Marcus (Lionel Boyce). No, it feels as if there have been more than a few signs hinting at a twist romance between former foes Syndey and Richie. Would they be endgame? Probably not. Is it a good idea for these characters to engage in a relationship? Most likely not, but that’s what makes them the perfect candidates for such a storyline. Vulnerability Since the beginning of the show, Sydney and Richie have been polarized characters,...

Here’s the synopsis from Cleopatra Entertainment: “Cocaine, cash and a crew filming a low-budget horror movie in the eerie woods of northern Pennsylvania clash when an unexpected visit from a bloodthirsty werewolf literally enters the picture–with deadly results.”
Marie DeLorenzo, Jeff Kirkendall, Titus Himmelberger, Ken Van Sant, Brice Kennedy, Yolie Canales and Noyes Lawton star in Cocaine Werewolf. Tyger Torrez wrote the screenplay.
Expect this one on VOD later this year and find the poster art below.

Malaga, Spain — Traditionally, until a few years back, a Spanish film industry debate led to a “Wall of Laments” which ended up as a call for increased governmental support.
That was then. €70 million ($76.8 million) in 2023, €100 million ($109 million) last year, Spain’s Icaa film institute budget could add another €30 million ($32.7 million) with a little luck this year, said Rocío Juanas de Toledo, its secretary general at a panel, Spanish Cinema Models Examined, one of the key industry debates at this week’s Malaga Festival.
Panelists represented Spain’s three biggest content investors – Movistar Plus+, Atresmedia and Rtve – and two top producers: Morena Films and Elástica Films.
It took speakers less than two minutes to zero in on Spain’s biggest immediate challenge: Its still underperforming box office, down 24% on pre-pandemic levels.
“Our major concern is how to recuperate the cinema theater audiences we had before the pandemic,” said Jaime Ortiz, Atresmedia Cine director general.
