So as this is my very first Chilla's rt game i must say considering the amount of people who worked on this game, it is not abysmal. That being said if it was made by any team even slightly bigger i would find myself being pretty disappointed.
Now the story of this game is pretty poor to say the least. I have almost if not forgotten the complete story and i only finished the game around four hours ago at the time of me writing this review. The story isn't anything that you need to piece together yourself and/or one that is meant to have your own interpretation to. It is just simply a poor story (even for a cheap horror game). If you're looking for a horror game that has any form of story then you should look elsewhere.
The gameplay of this game is the same as all "walking simulator horror games". That isn't a criticism necessarily. In this game it work fine. In many cases i prefer walking simulators to action-packed horror. The pacing of the gameplay was fine for the most part and very rarely (if ever) got bored playing. Although there is nothing in-depth about the controls of the game, it never came across as boring or annoying throughout my playthrough of the game. It isn't a particular standout in this field, but definitely not bad at all. Perfect for the type of game i would dare say.
The horror in this game was so very lacklustre. I cannot remember a time throughout the entire game that i was scared (or even mildly frightened) Besides a few flickering lights the Train Station was simply a big nothing in the scare department. Although that being said the lights flickering was hardly scary. The Train was better but not by much it must be said. I am not sure about other works by Chilla's Art, however i must say if they're anything like this then they're hardly horror. I could see maybe a single "scare" making a child scared but that's as far as it goes. Not at all scary.
The visuals of the game are pretty poor. Now i do not mind the style of the game itself. Certain textures and models used throughout the game were actually fine. An example would be the vending machine or the train model itself. But the thing that made the game look poor often in my opinion is the lighting. The floor looking so clean to a fault. More reflections that a mirror and it looked simply bad. Also you could see the sky texture (like moon and clouds) at random places like walls or the floor and it looked odd to say the least. The game simply has far too much gloss and a moon on the loose that just makes the game look bad at times.
