It all comes down to one thing, was Reg right thirty years ago, or did he get it wrong, causing an innocent man to be hanged.
As a production, and story, it's a real winner, it's very interesting, well conceived, and well adapted from the book. As a mystery, you make your own mind up whether it's one of the best or not.
Not a whodunnit in the technical sense, more a cold case style mystery. It is however, a very good character story.
Peter Egan and Sharon Maughan continue to impress, it's the relationship between their characters that has perhaps been the most interesting part.
