Sex & Nudity

- Two scenes of male full frontal genital nudity. One is full screen relatively close, and graphic with penis clearly shown. The other is in a lake at a distance and genitalia can be seen, although not clearly. A woman shows breast nudity several times, and once is fully nude from the side, with only a quick flash of a partial pubic hair, but genitalia is obscured by camera angles.
- There are frequent scenes set in a brothel. Copulating couples and orgy groups are seen in the background of some scenes. A woman gives a man a "hand job" while others sit nearby watching. Several instances of prostitutes and customers discussing sex acts.
- A priest molests multiple underage girls.
Violence & Gore

- Multiple lengthy scenes of intense, graphic war violence. Bombs, exploding bodies, stabbings, gory up close shootings, limbs hacked off, etc. (Extreme TV-MA violence.)
- Multiple scenes of emergency surgical procedures on injured and dismembered soldiers. Extremely bloody.
- A man intentionally dismembers himself to avoid military service.
- A man throttles a woman and breaks her neck.
- Scenes showing dead bodies left to rot.
- Lengthy scene of soldiers being killed with poisoned gas, with up close views of burning skin, death screams, and men vomiting blood. Some soldiers attempt to escape the gas and are shot in the head (in close up) by their own leader. Extremely disturbing.
Profanity

- Episode 1: None. Episodes 2 - 8: Lots of TV-MA profanity, particularly frequent "fucks" and "fucking" throughout.
- A lot of derogatory, rude language aimed at women, particularly prostitutes.
