Todd Wilson: Mr Todd's Pie Factory in New Jersey. Makes sweet potato pies. 10% for $ 460,000. Sells wholesale and sold $ 1 MM in 12 months. 20% net income. half the biz is wholesale and half is retail. 94% of wholesale is the sweet potato pie. Needs money for equipment and marketing. McDonalds wants to have Mr Todd's to open up a kiosk in their store for testing. Robert doesn't offer money as he thinks Todd will lose focus. O'Leary asks for 51% of the business and wants Todd to focus on wholesaling a single SKU. Barbara offers $ 230,000 for 20% and wants Daymon to come in with her. Daymon offers $ 460,000 for 50% and asks Barbara to split the deal. Robert asks Todd not to give up 50%, but he does go ahead.
Darren Jhonson: Ionic Ear. $ 1 M for 15% stake. Implantable Bluetooth behind the ear, via surgery. A small q tip like charging line that would go inside the head each day to charge the device. All 5 sharks go out as they label Darren a nut job.
Kevin Flannery: Wispots. $ 1.2 M for 10%. Patient interaction center to be used in waiting rooms of doctor's offices all over US. The equipment costs 9000 $ for each doctor's office installation. Has put in $550 K of own money into the business with 2 mortgages on the house, college funds, 401K and everything else. All the sharks say that no patient will pick up the tablet to look at ads and other content in a doctor's office, when they can check emails on phone.
Tiffany Krumins. Emmy the Elephant. Small time girl. $50 K for 15%. Was a babysitter to Gibby who had down syndrome and never liked to take his meds. So she invented an elephant toy with a hollow trunk which would get a child to open their mouth and the trunk could dispense the meds. Not patented. Needs the money for a patent and a working prototype. O'Leary is out since its not a business. Robert wants Tiffany to get a licensing deal and goes out. Daymon also opts out as its not a business. Barbara offers $ 50 K for 55%. Tiffany accepts.
Omar Soliman & Nick Friedman: College Foxes Packing Boxes. Chicks packers and movers. $ 250 K for 25%. They earlier launches College Hunks Hauling Junk and want to use the same concept to make their new idea successful. The successful business is not for sale. The Hunks business netted $ 500 K in last 12 months at 20% margin. For the packaged deal of both businesses, the guys ask $ 1 MM for 10%. O'Leary laughs them out. Daymon thinks the Foxes business is a closet escort service and opts out. Harrington goes out since the valuation is futuristic and not based on current numbers. Barbara opts out. Robert offers $ 250 K for 50% of the foxes and 10% of the hunks. The guys pass on the offer.
