While watching last night's episodes of the Real Housewives of Miami and Watch What Happens Live!, I was delivered two shocks. The first shock came in the announcement that next week's episode will be the season finale of the Miami branch of the Real Housewives franchise. After six episodes, I still don't know these women that well and that doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Then again, I really can't stand the Horrid Sisters (aka Larsa Pippen and Cristy Rice) so this will be a blessing in disguise since I won't have to seem them for awhile.
The second shock of the night was when Andy Cohen announced that the Miami girls will be treated with a Live reunion show! Am I the only taking this as a "Wtf?!?!?" Moment? Why should these ladies be subjected to a live reunion show after six episodes and not the Atlanta or Beverly Hills Housewives?...

Just got out of the Sundance press screening of Twelve, Joel Schumacher's attempt to fill the niche carved out last year at the fest by The Informers. The most notable part of the movie (apart from the critical laughter that greeted the closing credit quote from Albert Camus)? That'd be the first act presence of NYC Prep's ambiguously gay PC Peterson, who gets no lines but is nevertheless a heavily featured extra, playing a partying prep schooler (no!) who makes out with and feels up a girl (no?) and then prematurely ejaculates (oh). Camille is going to be irate about this for some reason!

Prince Harry once went to a costume party in a Nazi uniform. Now Sebastian Oppenheim, 16, the girl-crazy star of reality show "NYC Prep," has made a similar bonehead blunder. After finding a roll of electrical tape in the back of a car, Oppenheim and his "wingman," Gabe, made swastikas with the tape, and Gabe put a piece under his nose to resemble a Hitler mustache. A girl in the front seat took pictures and the images were soon on the Internet. Sebastian's father, Jeff, pointed out...

It was just a matter of time, wasn't it, before Bravo mastermind Andy Cohen got his tenterhooks into sheepishly attractive lummox/Palin babydaddy Levi Johnston? I suppose none of us should have been surprised, then, when Johnston (ID'd by Cohen as "my boyfriend, Levi Johnston") Skyped in to join the Bravo host on his late-night chat show Watch What Happens. Somehow, we're sure that the Alaskan will be worked into the second season of NYC Prep; imagine the sparkling conversation that will result when he's paired with the equally inarticulate Sebastian, or screamed at by the monstrous Jessie. [Towleroad]...

Okay, after spending a few weeks avoiding it, I've suddenly found myself addicted to Bravo's attempt to create a Gossip Girl-inspired reality drama in NYC Prep and a large part of it is due to the sexually ambiguous PC and his tense friendship with Jesse.
It's a familiar path, I went through a similar journey with Jeff Lewis, initially finding him to be another reality TV jerk with a big personality, but eventually finding him more complicated, though still infuriating. This week's installment cemented that.
With PC in the Chuck Bass role of the decadent troublemaker, NYC Prep has spent its first season heavily implying that PC is gay or bisexual. When he visited a male friend in Mexico, we saw PC talk about how beautiful his friend was. And when that friend tried to steal away the attention of a couple of women by telling them that PC has a boyfriend back home,...

What was it like growing up in New York? It's pretty cool. I've come to realize that I'm pretty lucky growing up in the City. I mean, its not like you really 'get it' until you travel. Like when I go to France and people find out I'm from NYC and they start asking me all these questions, and suddenly you realize you're living in a pretty amazing place if kids in Paris think its cool you live in New York. What was your first memory? As a kid I remember running around the Metropolitan Museum of Art a lot. The Temple of Dendur was a great place to play tag! And the Arms and Armor gallery is really cool. Did you always feel like city kids had access to more and were a bit...

As someone who takes her studies very seriously, Camille has always struggled to improve her social life. She's also constantly on the lookout for a boyfriend even though no one seems to meet her impossibly high standards, despite the bevy of suitors knocking on her door.
In the fourth episode of NYC Prep, viewers witnessed Camille as she tried to jump into the dating scene and go out with Dan, one of PC's senior buddies. But as you all know, the date didn't exactly go as expected. Camille struggled to find conversational topics and her frustration escalated when she found out that Dan doesn't know what he wants to major in and is only into partying when it comes to college.

New York — Ok, not everyone has a sweet-16 birthday party that was sponsored by MySpace, was held at one of Manhattan's hottest venues and was DJed by MisShapes — and doubled as your new band's homecoming show after a stint opening for the Veronicas' North American tour.
But then again, not everyone is "Gossip Girl" star/ Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen.
Momsen accomplished a lot in the first 15 years of her life, and, judging by the crowd at Tuesday night's party/concert, she's made a lot of friends too. Holding it down in the Hiro Ballroom's VIP section was the majority of the "Gossip Girl" cast — notably Ed Westwick (who was very close with Jessica Szhor) and Chace Crawford. The crew made their way to the front of the...

If you've been following NYC Prep, you'd know that there are just a few standouts worth looking forward to in each episode. There's PC and Jessie, who may not be as pleasant as the others but are sure to bring life in every party. Then there's Taylor, a 15-year-old student at Stuyvesant High School who is the only cast member who does not attend a private high school. While she still navigates the elite high school social scene, she has that distinctive charm that separates her from the rest of the pack.

It seems that things are getting just a little bit more intriguing on NYC Prep as the show puts the spotlight on Taylor, Sebastian and Cole. While there's nothing really special about the love triangle, Taylor's choice remains to be the burning question that lingers on viewers' mind each time they watch this docu-drama.
When we last saw NYC Prep, our Upper East Siders celebrated Winter Break. Jessie went to Florida for vacation but couldn't stop thinking about PC, who was partying around in Cancun, Mexico. At the same time, Kelli went to the Hamptons to mourn a death, while Camille and Taylor stayed in the City. Cole, on the other hand, surprised Taylor after the holidays at her public school, and pressured her to make a decision.

Once The Real Housewives of New Jersey ends, we're betting on NYC Prep (Tuesday, 10 pm/Et on Bravo) to be our next guilty pleasure this summer. On Prep, Bravo gives viewers an inside look into the lives of the privileged teens on the Manhattan prep-school scene — call it a real-life Gossip Girl. How are the two similar? Let's meet Prep's familiar character archetypes and investigate.
PC, The Bad Boy
Who He Is: PC is a popular senior whose sophistication is seen in both his dapper style and in the way he greets friends with a double-cheek kiss. So, he's kind of a d-bag. "There's a huge advantage with having money and being around money in New York City," he says.
Gossip Girl Equivalent: Chuck Bass, the teenaged CEO of Bass Industries, can charm the pants off (literally) any girl. He's a bit of a clotheshorse, and he truly believes that...
