Many of the actors in the short film were non-actors. This is because of the director's appreciation of "the surprisingly unknown talent that lurks inside of anyone."
The Cemetery Scene in "A Night to Remember," was shot on location in North Bergen, New Jersey, right off of Tonelle Avenue in the middle of the night. The low lighting is due to the time and the crew's fear or waking the people that lived near the area.
L.E. Salas was a manager at Puleo's Restaurant at the time he began the short film. Many of the waiters at the restaurant are featured in the film. The restaurant that which was on 45th between 8th and Broadway has since been torn down.
Due to many drop-outs, many of the actors were replaced or filled in roles an hour before shooting began. L.E. Salas filled in when the actor originally slated for the role dropped out at the last minute due to an illness. Jacqueline Becker, who plays his wife in the scene was also a fill in for an actress who dropped out at the last minute.
Sarah Hect who played Rose in the last sketch previously worked with the director during a shoot for David Schoner and Greg Corrado's "Stay, Go, Don't Linger." Salas liked her so much he asked her to fill the role of the grandmother.
