Lavinia has been named an official patroness of the arts at the museum of history by renowned curator Edmond Beauchamps (familiar character actor John Hoyt). She had donated a collection of Wedgwood cameos to the museum to impress him.
Tammy spots a familiar "dried up" blue bowl in an antique magazine and Lavinia relates that the piece has been lost for over 100 years and was a gift to the president by Napoleon. She tells Lavinia that they have a bowl just like that. Meanwhile, Cletus is having an auction and Lavinia and Gloria show up to find the bowl and buy it for $5. The bowl was being used as the Tarleton's mule Enoch's food bowl and now he won't eat. Grandpa and Tammy insist upon buying back the bowl but Lavinia plans to donate it to the museum. Mr. Brent and Mr. Whitt scheme to help but trouble ensues.
Cletus' character and voice has changed to be more like that of Mr. Haney from "Green Acres" in this episode.
