Wilsberg's client Tahmina Ahmadi is part of a shopkeepers' community. This community also includes the music store of Jazek Antonov and the murder victim Tillmann Drösser, a scale model store owner. Is their landlord Überholz trying to get rid of them in order to sell the shops for a higher price? Wilsberg pursues his clues and finds not just the enigmatic real estate broker Rebekka Heise, but also uncovers the distant past of the three shopkeepers. Is the helpful Niels Schiffer, assistant of the shopkeepers' community, a clue to solving the case? In the meantime, Ekki has made a new acquaintance over a blind date app. He is keen to meet the woman in person for the first time, who calls herself "Snugglekitten 17". Their first meeting turns out to be far different than what Ekki had imagined. Overbeck pursues the brains behind an illegal drug app operation. He strains the police force's resources and also the nerves of his boss Anna Springer, who is less than amused about Overbeck's unauthorized solo efforts.
