mildly interesting at best.

This is an ephemeral sort of film that made it to the DVD collection by American Film Archives. Mostly these are experimental films of limited interest to the casual user, but are great for historians and cinemaniacs like me.

This is a silent film with intertitle cards. I suppose it's all meant to be some grand and weird sort of party for the kids and it features some weird performances by a knife thrower, high wire acts, a trained seal and lots of other acts. Shots of kids supposedly watching were inserted here and there--but the kids photos and footage look like they were inserted rather randomly and crudely later. Ther were also a few professional looking shots of kids at the end...though I have no idea why. In addition, for laughs, intertitle cards were occasionally shown reversed and 'The End' appears at the beginning. I am really not sure what the point of all this was. It looked almost like a home movie where the filmmaker thought he was being cute...but wasn't. Mildly interesting at best.
