In a cross-promotional segment, Bill and Toony from MeTV's weekday morning cartoon showcase Toon in with Me (2021) make appearances, this time with Toony rehashing his shameless Svengoolie-inspired horror host persona "Sventoonie", with Bill in a chicken suit as the sidekick "Billwyn". These Sven and Kerwyn knock-offs previously appeared in the special crossover episode Sventoonie (2021), but here make their debuts with the "Svengoolie" audience. The ongoing mascot feud heats up again, and while Sven good-naturedly invites Toony the Tuna to bring his aquatic horror host character onto the show, Kerwyn is none too pleased to see his bitter rival. As Sventoonie, Toony makes several fish-based puns about horror movies, saying "pikes" are used to kill vampires and referring to Wolf Man Larry Talbot as "Larry Halibut" and Psycho (1960) character Norman Bates as fisherman "Norman Baits".
Originally produced during the 2020-2021 coronavirus pandemic, with Sven's host segments recorded remotely from his "work from home" locations of stately Sven Manor and the top-secret Sven Cave, rather than his usual dungeon studio. Likewise, Doug Graves participates remotely during the Sven Song.
In this episode, first broadcast on 3 April 2021, Svengoolie takes a moment to pay tribute to Dawn Wells, fan-favorite star of Gilligan's Island (1964) and friend of MeTV, who'd passed away in December 2020. It was the first opportunity for Sven to honor Wells on the air, given the advance production schedule of the show, and he presents an "encore performance" of a segment from Curucu, Beast of the Amazon (2015), with Wells joining Sven via satellite for a "Gilligan"-themed comedy bit.
