"Me Lady Jezebel"
Riley reads in the newspaper where the Garden Shield Society of Boston has banned a book named "Me Lady Jezebel". Peg says that Babs is having to read it in her senior English class. Babs finds it so trashy she can't even finish it. She switches dust jackets with that of "Lucy Lawrence, Campfire Girl" to shield it from Junior. Now if Junior snoops to find it, he'll be reading a kid's book. Riley finds the banned book, which unknown to him is the kid's book, and agrees with it's moral messages. He talks Junior out of wanting a comic book by giving him $2 to go buy "Me Lady Jezebel". After winning $15 in a basketball pool he buys copies of the books, giving one to Father Brennan of the Catholic Boys Club and other religious leaders in the community. They come to Riley's house- with the district attorney.
For me, this episode has a promising premise but the anticipated comedy isn't quite there.
