Experiences from another world
suchenwi5 June 2009
This was my first Egyptian movie, and then in Arabic without subtitles...

For me as a European former university student, it was quite interesting to see the experiences (often amounting to culture shocks) an older (and not very literate) Egyptian makes with student life there, as well as jokes about the electoral battlefield, life in parliament, islamists, and much more.

I liked it quite much, especially the versatility of Adel Imam's expressions. I had some associations with Harold Lloyd's Freshman (who was never seen in a classroom - but compare the football/soccer games...), and Mr Bean at the exams.

Laugh-out-loud: Morgan's fist-fighting disco dance.

Money is not everything.

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the way they tell you that money buys everything and how you can give to anyone so he can do anything for you, but what is the use of money without knowledge? What is the picture that your children see?
